Interesting thread... Maybe worth a try....
Any FTer boss is hiring in NZ?
I'm a project engineer in local government here, also half way through my MBA course..... Looking for something different, a job that literally take me to places...... lol..... Just the nature of a FTer... I guess...... Please PM me....

I've just finished my PhD in naval history and i'm looking for a job where my research, analytical and writing skills will be useful - ideally in logistics or procurement. My thesis is on naval education but i've previously studied naval logistics. I speak German. I'm pretty handy with Microsoft Word and Powerpoint but fairly clueless when it comes to Excel. I have extensive customer service experience and have worked at the sharp end of retail/distribution/stock keeping. I live near London (UK) but i'm happy to relocate to just about anywhere!

Have you looked into Elance or Guru.com? You might be able to pick up work there.

Wifi Consultants for YVR
My company is in need of some IT consultants who specializes in wifi. Our office gets crazy interference from (we believe) the medical equipment that gets used in the office next to us.
Finding the IT consultant that did the wifi system @ YVR is obviously an overkill but we are in desperate need of some help. We don't want to move and the folks here don't want to use LAN.
Please PM me if you know of anyone who can help.
Thanks.

Open Source IT Consultant
Open Source IT Consultant positions available. Position available country wide, willing to travel (generally w/in your region - east/central/west). If you're looking to move, we have offices around the country and around the world as well. Should be strong technically (Java/OO/similar preferred) and/or Middleware experience. Linux Admin could be done, but a different group than I work in, so don't know of those positions as much, but can pass along the resume.
Strong company, great growth, quarterly bonuses as well as generous yearly stock grant (not options) based on performance. The work is diverse and demanding, but the pay is commensurate with experience.

I have over 13 years of marketing and corporate recruiting experience. Any chance Internet Brands will start a search for Senior Level Recruiters...I can see from the Job Boards that they have been unsuccessfully looking for a Junior recruiter for a full year.

This thread works!
Our new Joomla geek isn't very geeky, and by his own admission doesn't actually know Joomla either. But he is fast and competent and a stellar guy to deal with that has already made some great improvements to our site.
So far we are delighted so a big thanks to the FTer that kindly put us in touch with him.

My company is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator (to support the software development group) and a Senior Windows Systems Administrator (to support corporate systems). Jobs are San Mateo, CA-based, and we're a pretty cool place to work for. I don't know if we pay relocation. Jobs are not yet posted to our public web site, but should be early next week; PM if interested, I can speak in detail about both positions.
eta: http://jobvite.com/m?30Hfkfw0 for the Linux Sysadmin job posting.

Clean, sober, and highly articulate aircraft mechanic trained on 737, 747, and other (smaller) aircraft is currently working mandatory 60+ hours a week, and seeks similar work for another company, but fewer hours. Mechanic is trying to complete a college degree but 60+ hour workweeks make that goal impossible.
Definitely open to 30-40 hours a week, anything in the Ohio Valley/Tennessee Valley area.
PM, thanks.
