I've got a flight to catch out of Regan later in the evening (To Africa, yahoo!), but since you and I are both in Alexandria it's possible that I could swing by and say Hi depending on the time.

Well, I'm glad I checked this thread again.... I didn't realize I was "hooking up some Cuban cooking!" :eek: :D Okay, really, I will make it and I can bring some Cuban food. I'll make that cheese flan (tastes like a cross between regular caramel custard and cheescake) that I made for Mileage Addict's party and which he loved (this will be tough 'cause I can't have any... I'm low-carbing it these days before my vacation to Hawaii). Alysia, I hope you can make it since I know you've been wanting to try this dessert for a while! G2, thanks again for putting this together. It will be nice to see you and the G2 clan again. I'll PM you now for details. Hope to see many of you the day after tomorrow!

I don't know if we're still Thursday-centric or not - I like Thursdays or Fridays best, though. Any thoughts for September? I wasn't at G2's either due to a wedding, but I will gladly post a location for September. Thoughts, Ideas?

There's always the Key Bridge Marriott at JW's Steakhouse or at Pitchers Bar & Grill - parking is a parking garage that can be validated.

Don't know either place, not sure I can make it on the 23rd but my vote is for the "bar & grill". It just sounds more comfortable. :)

Hope to get to one of these in September or October.

I got a new job! I will actually be close enough to meet you all for happy hours in MD or DC ... VA is stilll a bit out of reach though.

I've updated the first page - 9/23 at 7:30ish at Pitcher's Bar at the Key Bridge Marriott - it's about 2 blocks from the Rosslyn Station & they have a parking garage (as far as I know, parking can be validated at the bar - but not 100% postive). Please post if you can make it!

I'd be glad to come on the evening of the 23rd. I live in Charlottesville, so it's a bit of a trek up to Rosslyn, but don't mind the drive since I fly out of IAD just about every week. Good thing is I'll be going in the reverse rush-hour direction on Route 29 and I-66 at that time of day so there shouldn't be much traffic.

I doubt that'll be the case - I work in Bethesday & live in Arlington, 66 is often backed up from 495 into the city, even in the evenings. Just be forewarned - it's often times hit or miss!
