Drats. My drifting cousin in Guam swears he's really getting married this time on July 21 so it looks like I'm out. But if history repeats itself, he'll change his mind and then I'll try to rejoin the gang in SAN. Enjoy.

San Diego is very tight (or full)for hotel rooms, especially in the Summer. So get your reservations confirmed as soon as possible.
As you know the Train station (Coaster to LA, and points North, Canada), red trolley (south to Tijuana & Mexican border, and north to old town restaurants), the airport, cruise terminal and Zoo are all downtown and all within in walking distance. Wear comfortable shoes like athletic models.
Shopping downtown or a place to hangout is Horton Plaza.
Weather will be a marine layer or foggy in the morning, sunny in the afteroon and comfortably cool in the evening. Good for sleeping.
Eastwest: the YMCA is right there downtown on Broadway in the heart of it all, also.
As are the Marriott suites, Westin,

It is never too late to have a HAPPY CHILDHOOD!
BEEP! BEEP!

As long as I don't have to drive through the old 'hood in Linda Vista and that LOVELY Navy housing, count me in. Definite plus a maybe for the better half. May bring the boys and make a long weekend out of it, but the boss hasn't given me her schedule.

Captain Mike et al:
As much as I was looking forward to this, previous commitments have reared their ugly heads and I'm not going to be able to make it after all.
Have a great weekend. I'll think of you.
