Thanks markbach! Great job on the web page. I didn't know about the different week-end long events until I saw the site. Thanks again.

Nice website, except you forgot me...!

I should be on the "confirmed" list.

Nice job on the website, markbach!

Please move Scott & me to the confirmed list, as that weekend does seem to be free for us.

I've booked into the Hampton Inn Airport/Seaworld at $103 AAA rate. Not the greatest property, or the greatest rate, but we've got a place, and we'll get Hilton credit for it. (I'm not keen on driving all the way up to Escondido after a FT dinner!)

We've used this hotel a number of times when we've had late arriving/early departing flights. They have a shuttle bus to the airport, and after hours will arrange for you to use one of the regular shuttle services (which can be s-l-o-w, be warned).

ClassicalGal & GG/Lex, you have been added. If you (or anyone else) wants to email hotel/flight info to me when it's available, I'll stick it up on the site (email: mailto:[email protected][email protected]</A> ). Once events are confirmed, we'll ask for RSVPs for all the different events.

FLASH! Discounts have just been arranged on UA and AA for the SAN gathering!

For UA: call 1-800-521-4041 and use meeting code 593XE.....this will get you 5% off the lowest applicable price. The discount increases to 10% for reservations booked AND TICKETED 60 days before departure! You may arrive in SAN as early as 7/17 and stay until 7/23 (or leave earlier) if you like. Reservations may be made by you or your travel agent, but must go through the 800 number listed here.

For AA: Call 1-800-433-1790 and use authorization number A9171AO. The same 5% or 10% discount rules apply. Reservations may be made by you or your travel agent, but must go through the 800 number listed here. Applicable dates are 7/18 - 7/24.

I will post these codes on the SAN website as soon as possible, as well as on the UA and AA boards, since not everyone reads "FT Community".

Looking forward to seeing everyone in SAN!

Wow Captain Mike, I am impressed. How can you get UA and AA do do something like that? I have never heard of anything like this.

This event is going to be so much fun. I commend the efforts of everyone involved.

Count me in. I'll be in Asia and Australia in early July and I'll try and rush back by the 20th to attend this FT Meet.

I have to give props to GG for tipping me off on this planned FT Summer Weekend Getaway.

COUNT ME IN!

First of all, knowing it will be teetering around 120 in PSP by then, I will be itching to get out of here and there aren't many places w/in a two-hour drive that can top SAN.

Second of all, it will give me the best opportunity yet to meet lots of FTers.

I'll start checking hotel availability now. More to come.

Very much looking forward to it!
