Captain Mike

Don't you know I'll try my best to be there. The sooner we can come up with dates the better it will be for me.

Good talking to you on chat last night.

Sounds good Captain Mike. You should probably just pick a week-end and start planning it. There will always be a week-end that works out bad for some.

I have a bridal shower to plan around the same time and a JFK week-end trip. But that stuff is flexible. Give me the dates and I'll plan around it.

I know it is still early but perhaps narrow it down to two week-ends and let people choose.

Mark, I think it will just be the three of us if I end up coming… The others don’t like flying all that much.

Captain Mike, could I schedule some time on your couch now???

We'd be interested (2 of us) - always looking for a reason to go to SAN.

Having checked the board carefully, I see that there is already a get together scheduled in Portland for July 27/28/29, so it would not be polite to schedule SAN for then. I'm thinking August looks best. How about August 17/18/19? A second choice would be August 24/25/26, though Tom911 wouldn't be able to join us (see post above).

How does August 17/18/19 or 24/25/26 look for people?

Sounds like a great reason to redeem a domestic award seat. As long as I'm a Shuttle flight away (versus a 747 since I've gone international-mileage run crazy as of late) I'll attend. Thanks for setting this up.

I'll have to visit the FTers in SAN another time. I can't make it the last half of August. My sisters wedding is on the 25th of August and the 18th is her Bachlorette party.

Sine you had originally suggested the 2nd half of July or the fist half of August what about either of the first two week-ends in August? It still doesn't conflict with the PDX FT get together. Just a suggestion Captain Mike, I am not trying to step on toes.

After another discussion regarding pros and cons of various weekends for SAN, August causes scheduling problems for a number of folks who really want to come. So now the suggested dates are July 20/21/22. The people on chat felt good about this particular weekend. What do others think?

We need to firm up dates within the next few days so people can begin planning flights, hotels, work schedules, and so on.

July 21/22 could work for me, if you can stand a far off visitor with a funny accent

I may be on my way to Canada at that time (maybe!!!) and so could well drop in on SAN as I really like the city
