Also am going to be at millenium hilton on Friday night.
Going to be meeting with tom911 at 11am Friday morning in the lobby to go exploring. According to tom911 I should be able to find him as he will have a maroon Jansport day back along Any and all are welcome.

Catman & dhammer suggested I help them coordinate some touring options for the Saturday of the Do. While not a professional tour guide, I have lived in NY all my life, was a movie location scout for 5 years, and love showing off the city. I'm just doing it for fun and to make it a special weekend.

We'll make it easy for you, but first give us some indications which will make the planning easier and let more people enjoy the experience:

1) Do you want a walking tour or to ride around and see more? I have a new minivan and I still keep a scouting permit which lets me park pretty much anywhere. So there'll be the opportunity to do both. Dan and I could also run two groups. But we need to know how many people are interested.

2) Is Saturday starting around 10:00a good?
I'm thinking of the west coast folks.

3) My thought is to keep it mostly outdoors if the weather cooperates. Museums and plays are nice, but they take up a lot of time and it's a big city.

So let's hear it.

10:00 is a bit early...maybe 11?

Well, since you were a movie scout, how about a "movie/tv" reality tour, similar to the Kramer Reality Tour offers, where you show the real life equivilents of Friends, NYPD Blue, etc. Or even just a "Mahattan tour" as an option instead of the Brooklyn one. I'm wait listed for Dan's tour, so I'd love a spot in your van.

Thanks to crankyusi and trvl4free, I too will be staying at the NY HILTON MLLENIUM!!!! Friday and Sat. This is fantastic!!! See everybody there!
It took me 2 days and nites to do it! I missed my plane to Dominica because I was on-line the whole dang time...but I leave at 4:30 A.M. tomorrow!
