Catman & dhammer suggested I help them coordinate some touring options for the Saturday of the Do. While not a professional tour guide, I have lived in NY all my life, was a movie location scout for 5 years, and love showing off the city. I'm just doing it for fun and to make it a special weekend.

We'll make it easy for you, but first give us some indications which will make the planning easier and let more people enjoy the experience:

1) Do you want a walking tour or to ride around and see more? I have a new minivan and I still keep a scouting permit which lets me park pretty much anywhere. So there'll be the opportunity to do both. Dan and I could also run two groups. But we need to know how many people are interested.

2) Is Saturday starting around 10:00a good?
I'm thinking of the west coast folks.

3) My thought is to keep it mostly outdoors if the weather cooperates. Museums and plays are nice, but they take up a lot of time and it's a big city.
