Catman, thanks for all your hard work. I don't envy the job you've taken getting all this together.
My humble suggestion; if you find a place where people can get together before dinner informally (ie like a reception with cash bar) that might drag some of the cheap, miserly people in (like me). And as chexfan or geo1004 might tell you I second that McDonalds suggestion (just kidding)
As others have echoed its your party and do whatever you think is best. Good luck!

), but I'd be interested if the tickets are reasonably priced.

Sell out? So what ... there are always still tickets to be had! At last years Cataman event in NYC auh2o and I went to the Knicks/Lakers game ... that game was long sold out of course, but there were plenty of tickets to be had, and we ended up getting some pretty nice seats (of course we paid a good bit for them too though ...).

The Rangers are also playing the Red Wings on Saturday, 3/24/01, at The Garden!
It's to be telvised on ABC as the "Game of the Week" so to speak!
The Rangers also play Boston on Sunday!
I'll also be at the CO Airlines Arena Friday night to see the Knicks/Nets game and could possibly get some tickets for interested parties at that time!
The Knicks also play the Nets at The Garden on the Friday night of 3/23/01 at 7:30!
The Deils are at home versus Vancouver on Friday, 3/23/01.
The NJ Nets are on the road!
BTW, seats for NJ Devils hockey games are usually ~$25-500!

You guys are infectious! Love to get along to ANY sporting event in NYC. Be quite an experience. We fly in Thursday night so Friday looks fine if anything comes of this. Leave Monday.

BTW, FWIW, I only left out the famed NY/NJ Hitmen of the fledgling XFL, since they will be out of town playing at Soldier Field!
www.nynjhitmen.com
AND: BTW, current prices I've noted for Devils/Pittsburgh Penguins at CO Arena on 3/23/01 from ticket brokers are about $75. - $300.

Do you have hockey in Australia Ozstamps
?
?

Yep, real hockey. Green grass, adidas shoes, short skirts, and warm sunlight.
You ever seen on TV that funny version they play on ice in Russia or somewhere?

...and US Airways must be thinking of the 'Do too--they just announced weekend Shuttle fares of $49 each way from BOS and DCA, if tickets are purchased by this Fri, Feb 2. Here's a chance for more of us East Coasters to attend! (Sorry if that means more work, Catman!) http://www.usairways.com/promotions/...ernet_Sale.htm
Update: The AA/US Shuttle 1000-mile Bonus has been extended to 3/31/01! Let's see--1000 (US) + 1000 (AA) + 1000 (Booking Bonus) + 50 (Kiosk Bonus) + 500 (Silver Pref Bonus) for $109.50. Three cents per mile to NYC isn't bad (and I won't have to pay for gas, parking, or tolls!).

After a half dozen trips Down Under, my guess is that the top three Aussie sports are:
Rugby "football"
Boomerang
Beerguzzling
Oh...and not necessarily in that order!
------
Please note that the above post is meant in total and utter jest and is being made for limited entertainment value only and not to be taken seriously by absolutely anyone at all at anytime at all under any conceivable circumstances at all! I love Australia and each of these three activites as well! Although I'd admittedly rather go for the good inexpensive wines!!
