I have now confirmed my Free Friday at the W Tuscany, and will likely move to another property where the majority of FlyerTalkers are staying for the Saturday night. Will be booking my flight with Air Miles later today: while these are free tickets (except for taxes and airport/immigration/customs fees), they also qualify for Q-miles on Aeroplan, letting me have my cake and eat it too. Yum, yum.
I am also thinking of coming down on Thursday and spending a day in Jersey City. I hope Catman can make up a little "must see" itinerary for a walking tour of his home base. I know some others had suggest doing a "Sapranos" tour. Any takers?

Hmm...I'm guessing this is where I need to post my official intention of attending a great get-together with all of you fine folks hosted by Mr. Catman. See you there and count me in.

Oh, I want to be a part of this!! Haven't checked the thread for a month; because of work or illness...I've cancelled two other invites (Cat 2 and SAT). It's so sad to get all the arrangements set up and then not being able to go! I would love to make your party, CAT. Please put me down as a TRYING VERY HARD. Will be positively confirmed the first week in March.
Would like to join dhammer53's personal tour as long as no one is a mad dog driver. Dr. burkey can attest to my sanity and female gender. And I am no wimp, I sat in the front row of that river rapids tour in Montreal and almost drowned. Just call me a stupid brave soul, should've followed AnnaS to the back.
Hey, are Krispy Kremes any part of this trip? I am still ... a virgin, waiting for that first bite.
I am still afraid of NYC, afraid of getting lost and frustrated. It'll probably take a couple of trips to ease my fear.

Hi Ling. There are a number of us KK virgins -- I suspect Sparticus will admit that we remain so even after sampling the package he brought up to Montreal since they were no longer warm and oven fresh -- so this is a definite agenda item for an early morning Manhattan forray. Sorry to hear your health has not been so good of late. Please do try to make it to NYC.
Just found out I will have a major project to handle through March, which while it does not jeopardize my coming to the C2T, my plan to spend a day on the other side of the Hudson must be scrapped and I will fly in early Friday and leave late Sunday.

Catman,
Please move me to confirmed. I'm staying Fri and Sat at Essex House. We're under the 100 day mark!

For those in the Bay Area, SFO to Newark is pricing out to $266RT on UA for travel this weekend. At this price I'll pay the fare rather than use miles. I priced it out on United Connection software, but it works out the same on the UA web site (except can't use vouchers there).
I've made a reservation hoping the fare holds until Sunday morning, as I need to turn in some vouchers at the airport when I ticket (probably will do that at Sacramento). JFK on UA prices out to over $500RT.

Ling, NYC is a very easy city to understand and I always feel very safe there, even walking around alone at night. I would suggest that you get a map of Manhattan and study it before you go. Then, by the time you get there, it will all make perfect sense to you. Well, except maybe The Village.
