It has all been said already, but let me also throw out a quick thanks to eightblack and ung1 for putting this all together. And even more thanks to the numerous other FTers who opened up their house to us or invited us all to dinner or who made entire drink tabs disappear. This truly was an awesome trip!
And to top off such an epic trip, I somehow got the op-up from EK C to F for my ultra-long DXB-IAH flight.
I have no idea how this happened, as I have zero status or miles of any kind with Emirates (never even flown them before), AND this was a reward ticket. Dumb luck or something going on behind-the-scenes? Guess we'll never know...

I'd like to add my thanks to eightblack, ung1 and mrtdxb for a very well organised DO.
Special and sincere thanks also to the Emirates people for a very interesting and informative Emirates Experience. I shall wear my Nujoum Star with pride!

Dumb luck or something going on behind-the-scenes? Guess we'll never know...I'm currently at MUC on my way home. The lounges in the H part of the terminal are closed, and I was originally going to be offered a food voucher. I eventually realised I could go downstairs to the G lounge, where I am now.
It took me almost 2 days to recover from the BBQ/Belgian Beer Cafe. The last 2 nights were very quiet

Cheers,
Rick

It was my great pleasure to be part of the Dubai do.
Everything was well organised, EIGHTBLACK and UNG1 did a great job. Well done.^^^
EK was the highlight of the do, Thank you EK.:-::-:
As for the dinner and the bar tab, well this is part of Arab hospitality after all you are in my part of the world.
Last but not least the best thing about this do is the group attending it, very easy going, came to have a lot of fun and they did. It was my honor knowing all of you and happy that i managed to make few friends.
So it is going to be another year for a Dubai do? Way too long.

Well I can't speak for any of the other Dubai residents, but there's always a cold beer on tap for any FTer passing through....
It might not have the critical mass of a "do" but a beer is always refreshing!!
