Menu for the Big Brunch
Here's a brief description of the dishes served at the brunch (they had privacy issues with giving us the detailed menu, but you get the gist of it):
Soups Salads Verrine(appitizers) Roast & BBQ Seafood Pork cold cuts Tarts Red meats Duck & rabbit Side dishes(sauteed vegetables) Cheese selection Dessert The soft beverages offered on the non alcoholic package and also the rest of the packages are: Still & Sparkling water Aerated beverages(Except Redbull) Fresh Juices: Orange, Watermelon, Grapefruit, Pineapple Mocktails Pictures coming soon. |

How did I not know about this? I'm traveling June 25th to go back to the states for my summer vacation. Damn. Kudos to Simon and all who are giving an opportunity for a fun experience in the middle east. I 'm sorry not to make it. Enjoy and will pay more attention to this forum, never in communitybuzz really, in the future.

Alrighty then! Shift me to Gold, and I hope I don't have to cancel later.
Flying in on LH 630 F, thanks to CO miles, on the 22nd, arriving at 11:10PM, and departing on 28 June at 1:45AM on LH 631 F. Return, via FRA, is to Dulles in DC, then US (yikes!) to LGA. Will sort out hotels over the next day or so, but will likely hop for a bit of mattress running. Might stay the final night at the Hyatt Regency, to be by the beach and water. Since I'm in a day early, might look at doing a safari that day, and then join the snow fun during proper DO time. (BTW, the Ski Dubai website notes that they don't provide gloves or hats for sanitary reasons, but do provide all other clothing and gear. So, if you're thinking of this, you might pack these small items with you!) Looking forward to seeing everyone. |

Just learned about this DO today.
I'm interested as a maybe currently. Need to catch up all information and try to plan flights/hotels (am usually with Hilton). Would be my first FT-DO apart from SMD I+II. |

clothing for ladies
I may have asked this before but please refresh me....jetlagged still...
What shouldn't a woman wear in Dubai? It would seem to me keeping knees covered and possibly shoulders are de rigeur... Can we wear shorts or jeans for the bbq? (Am thinking jeans will be much too hot during the day...) Sneakers? Brunches and dinners in dresses with shawl and regular shoes.... Are muted colors (or non color) the best thing to pack?
