Also, for those who've been there, is the LH FCT worth going to on the connections as opposed to staying in-terminal and using one of the FC lounges?
4 sorts of French Champagne. Need I say anymore. You could take a bath in Bordeaux. You could eat so much cheese that you would need to avoid naked flames for 3-days...the list goes on And as a finale. When was the last time you went to an airline lounge and there was a million dollar supercar parked out front. One of 75 in the world. I rest my case... |

If you are there for more than 2 hours it will be a crime not to go there, you will receive the cold shoulder treatment from all of FT members.:D |

Dude, whatever you do, do not miss going to the FCT in FRA. Even if it means missing the Do. Seriously. And if you go there, please put as much Robert Weil Riesling into your bag. And duct tape some more to both legs. And then jam as many bottles into your computer bag. Hell - ditch the PC in the bathroom, I'll buy you a new one when you get here...

Just to give you guys a slight idea. The last two to three weeks we had a pretty high humidity here. And during the day an average of 45 C ... so be prepared. ;)

One other possible early morning activity is a hot air balloon ride. I gather that there are some that go up around sunrise for a one-hour ride. Between the time to get out to the location, the prep, the ride and the return, it's about 4-5 hours. Perhaps one of the mornings?
Edit: Looks like the hot air balloon companies don't run in June due to the weather (or the lack of tourists). Bummer. |

Sounds like a very cool activity. Do you have a link to the tour you were looking at? The one I see is http://www.arabiahorizons.com/Hot-Air-Balloon-Fly/ and goes for $273/person, which is a bit steep for me...

Update
Folks,
Just on 2-weeks to go before we party in the Sandpit. A note about final numbers. I have put a hard limit on the event now, which is capped at 50. There are 48 on the Gold list, of which 10 people are yet to register via the Eventbrite link. We do need everyone to do this - for name tags, for catering and to let EK know how many people to accommodate. The Silver list (the maybes) - there are 24 people yet to decide. Now is the time to do so. I am looking forward to seeing you all and promise, despite the external temperatures, that we will have a "cool" time Cheers SIMON |

Travelling on 1K in C. I'll be there. |
PS.... If someone could guest me into the FCT lounge at FRA, I'll be very appreciative!
Cheers, Rick |
Will some German chaps be around at the DO?
Gruss, Alex ;) |
