Just in case what? The EQMs? If you haven't ever used the EQMs, what are the odds you will need them in the future?
For example, someone who earns 36k EQMs one year, 57k EQMs another years, but 42k EQMs another year (but at least $6k EQD each year) can only use those 10k EQMs from the card that third year (to cross 50k for AA Plat), right? Or, let's say someone earns 42k EQMs every year, but most years don't come close to the required $6k EQD for AA Plat. Then one year they do cross $6k EQD, that year is the first year they'd need the 10k EQM from the card. So why do think that just because someone hasn't used them in the past them they might not need them in the future? |

It says it may take up to 2 billing cycles to show up.

2/10/18 - Prestige Offer with around 4k spend last year
Given $50 credit per billing cycle when at least $1,500 is spent, for next 7 billing cycles (up to $350 back) including Current Billing Cycle I took this option since i have some good spending coming up. For Others who took up the 50$ Credit Per billing cycle, have a question, when does the $50 Credit applies to the Account? My Statement ended on 02/14/18 and had over 1500 in Purchases, i dont see the Credit Applied. |
AA Plat MC, SO said catch phase "considering closing account". The agent tried to transfer us to a specialist but then came back and said a letter will be sent in 7-10 days regarding whether they will waive the fee.
Confused, I prompted her to inquire if they are closing the card. The agent said they were not. Never seen this interaction before. Something new I guess but wouldn't be surprised if they process a closure. |

3k miles w 500 spend 25 cr w 500 spend Still debating if to take the first option as I have another AA card w Barclay's |

DOES DOWNGRADING TO BRONZE OR PRODUCT CHANGING TO ANOTHER CARD LIKE DOUBLE CASH RESTART THE 24 MONTH CLOCK? |

So downgrading out of an AA card to a DoubleCash card (which has nothing to do with AA) would almost certainly reset the 24-month clock. So I suggest you assume it does, and make your decision based on that assumption. |
AA Platinum: annual spend was about $7500.
annual fee hit: accepted the only offer, $95 credit with 1k spend within three months. |
AA Biz Platinum - $95 fee posted, called - no offers other than lower APR, got a $95 credit after $195 spend last year, almost no spend other than that and some AA in flight purchases - cancelled.

Prestige 3/1. Front line CSR transferred me to a specialist who made two common offers:
1: +1 TY/$50k/6 mos 2: $50/$1500/7 mos I chose the latter. Had to wait ~5 mins for the specialist, but otherwise quick and friendly. AF hits in June. Last retention call was in May. |
Citi AA Platinum Select
3/2/2018 1) $95 credit for $95 spend 2) 10,000 miles for $3k spend within 3 months Took (2). AF posted 2 months ago |
