What with all the 18 month, 24 months, and 5 in 24 restrictions popping up, I want to play this game too. What about canceling, both the cards themselves and the "master accounts". Do you now have 16 of these cards open? Do you cancel each one before reapplying, or what?

My business card was approved, I used 50K, 3000 spend in 90 days link. I haven't received the kit yet. When I chat with Citi Rep, she said it was for 30,000 points, 1000 spend in 90 days. Is this normal? May be kit will say 50,000 points??
Also what do you do with AA points, if you are not using for travel? I'm not sure if you can get account credit or gift cards with citi points.

There is no "kit" for business accounts. What link did you use (what number from wiki)? What you are reporting is serious, if true. Once you activate the card, ask again by SM what the bonus is.

No, what happens is that having the Citi AA card sets a "flag" in your AA account saying "this person has a Citi AA card", and when AA sees that flag, it waives the fee on the 1st checked bag. So it's associated with your AA account, not with your payment method.
But since the same card gives you 2x AA miles on AA purchases, and since every AA miles redemption always carries some fees (at a minimum, a few dollars for a domestic redemption), why not use the same card to pay for the fees on the award redemption in any case?

Grrrr...
I goofed. With a $5K purchase coming up for my business I figured I should find a way to get something extra for it. I've done several card bonuses (bonii??) over the years so know the territory pretty well, and the fattest (Exec) options are not available to me anymore. (I'm only a moderate user of this process, only the fat, low-hanging fruit, no MS, only one card once in a while.)
So I signed up for an AA Platinum Select card, a step up from the Gold that we've had for years. Here is the goof: I signed up for the $1K spend/30K Miles offer!
I belatedly realized my mistake when the cards arrived. I called Citi and the rep said that she'd put in a request to change it to the $3K spend/50K miles offer for me. She said that such requests were routine and usually accepted.
I was thinking I could also cancel this card and re-apply...but I suspect that'll raise a flag. Besides I need to order this gear, which the vendor is holding for me.
Will report back here when I get an answer from Citi. Wish me luck!
ps: When I explained to the vendor that I would buy the piece of equipment but asked him to hold it for a week for my new card to arrive so I could get the miles, he was fascinated, and asked for information on how to get started. Naturally I sent him here!

Ok, it's not amazing, it's normal procedure, clearly explained in the wiki. That's why there are dozens of recent posts reporting having done the same thing. Oh, wait....

How long did it take yall to get your AAdvantage cards?
I applied for the plat and its been 3 weeks (approved 9/21) and I had them send it twice...
The second one was supposed to be sent overnight. I called when I did not receive it, and they sent it via regular mail! another 10 days...
Its removed essentially a month off the time I have to spend... This is just unacceptable. They offered me 1000 miles for the trouble... seriously?
I feel its appropriate to provide me with a much larger compensation that $15 worth of miles... ( I would think atleast 5-7k would be appropriate)

Not sure why it should be inauthentic...it is on Citi's official web pages. It has worked fine for me in the past, although I haven't received my most recent card yet.
Is it possible that you clicked the 30K link by mistake? It's the first link under "Other business cards", just as Link A is the first link under "Top business card offers".

Anyone know if we can triple-dip with the world/world elite cards (I've seen a lot of reports that it works for two cards, but not 3+)?
I just got the notice they were sending me a new card (i.e. world elite conversion), and I'm now hoping this allows me to just keep churning them out.

I saw 50,000 mention when I clicked apply now. May be chat specialist messed up.

I have a brand new business card (via link A) and written confirmation from Citi that the bonus is 50K. So I agree that there's no reason for any handwringing--none.
