ALL Citi HHonors application links are now DEAD.
Citi's contract to issue Hilton co-branded cards ends December 31, 2017. Citi will sell most accounts to American Express. The criteria for determining which accounts are eligible to be sold are unpublished. Read Hilton FAQ: http://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/e...-card-faq.html .

Since you don't know the invitation code of the "old" invitation, it is almost impossible for anyone to guess, with an certainty, if the second application would be approved.
IMHO it is worth the potential hard pull to see if you can get approved.

I opened Hilton Hhonors Visa in 09/2014, got some bonus points and basically forgot about it. Later (probably last year) Citi sent me new card.
Will it be considered that I actually applied for card in 2016 - or for Citi only my original 09/2014 application counts?

No, you did not apply for or open a new account in 2016.

Correct, ccs come with an expiration date on them. When that time is up, the cc company sends you a new card, with an updated expiration date, but the same account number. It's not a new account, just an updated card.

Just breached $2K spend = bonus trigger;
USA phone rep said ~75+2=77Kpts triggered by breach,
& pts available 4-6 wks later = early May...?
Can anyone verify as correct even though first
statement to be generated April 10 & payment due date May 6?
(usually set up payment in full on statement due date)
Is availability typically 4 wks or 6 wks?? (May travel planned) Thanks!
(also, how do I get flyertalk responses emailed to me???)

When you say you "breached" the $2K spend, are you saying that the charges have POSTED or that the charges are shown as "Pending"? If it is posted, then you should be OK, if the charges are Pending, then it depends on when the charge actually posts.

sorry if this is a stupid questions and I am missing the obvious answer - I see the the wiki and some posts mention a 24 month waiting period, but other posts say 18 months - which is it? or do different cards have a different period? I am 16 months out from my last citi hilton cancellation (I think I did 7 of them to churn for our honeymoon)
