As far as value I just used 25K Delta miles(sky pesos, lol) for a $700 flight 330 days out, lol

You don't see many of those anymore
You are right that was exceptional value way to go. Just finding a low level is unusual let alone being able to use it. lol

Non stop flights with mid day departures to boot, couldn't have been better.

My 70K Delta card from last year got me 3 flights ( all non stop) for spending $5k

There's already a better offer out there from Sept for 30k after spending $1,500 in first 3 months, and another $1,500 in the 2nd 3 months of card membership. No Annual Fee. Follow FT thread here:

Can anyone point me to a resource discussing the churn potential of the TY card? I've read plenty on the Citi AA and Hilton cards, but nothing on the TY bonuses. Thanks!

For the premier, beware that the 30,000 points doesn't get awarded till your second year. However, it would still be a good deal if you can spend $3k in the first month of your second year, have the annual fee pro-rated (so $10ish for the first month of your 2nd year) then convert your card to another card.

The premier had a better deal back in 2011, 50k TYP after spending $3k in 3 months.

I was going say yes since I have two open Preferred cards (received bonus' totaling 80K points on both from two years ago) but MIA has posted language indicating it is not possible anymore.
