Let me know if you come up with a part 3 that isn't a 10 page long post. We're not paid to read things on here.

Off Topic: I am flying out of DFW later this week. I only drink peach juice made in Jewish owned Mexican orchards picked in the offseason by migrant workers from Antartica. If I have a letter from the owner of the gas station by my house, do you think I can carry on a 55 gallon drum of said juice along with my Colt .45 (which I have to clutch whilst drinking the juice for medical reasons)?

Disclaimer: I despise the TSA as much as ole Spiff, but when you go looking for a fight and expect not to win, guess what happens? Methings someone probably wanted a poor me story more than a good flight.
Is it organic? The juice, not the .45.

Nice to finally see some moderation of this thread. I thought perhaps everyone was on vacation, or that I had missed the TOS change which enabled us to call each other liars and make other personal attacks.

I was also surprised at the number of physicians who post here, and real good ones too, who can make diagnoses without even having met the patient. Of course I already new that screeners possessed such magical powers.

Both are actually......provided they are first washed in Precious Bodily Fluids. In fact I think your signature helped us solve the mystery of why the OP had to carry that much liquid with her.....fluoridation. Can't you see it clearly now?

Fellow FTers, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, my fellow FTers, children's ice cream!

Yes, a uh, a profound sense of fatigue... a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I... I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence [due to fluoridation].

While discussion of moderation is against the TOS, I'll let this one stand as I'd like to make a request.

If anyone sees a post that they think is objectionable, is a personal attack, off-color, etc. pls click on the triangular RBP button below and a moderator will investigate. We don't have the time or resources to read every post in every thread and many times we depend on the eyes of the regulars in the forum.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Oh I can see exactly where you’re coming from.

But I think the sympathy I felt for the OP when I read this epic thread last night, was more for the torment that she must constantly live with, while going about daily activities in public, that to the rest of us, is just plain routine. Rather than over the situation created at the airport.

To be so hung up about hygiene, to seriously consider if she could lay down a carpet of paper towels, in order to walk through the WTMD. Or if having used disposable booties, to be unable to touch them without further hand protection in order to bin them, is to my mind truly baffling.

I cannot imagine the torment, that the most mundane tasks to the rest us, must cause this person. My sympathies for her are totally centred around what it must be like to live in that world.

But I have hold my hand up & say that if I was stood behind the OP at that checkpoint that morning, I do think I would have lost the plot !!!

Long layover?

The method of ethics I use is the one extrapolating it out to the whole population and seeing if it makes sense. If everyone had a doctor's note requesting permission to allow 4 L (aka slightly more than a gallon) of liquid would that be the world I'd want to live in? I don't agree with the liquid ban, but if it's that easy to get 1 gallon on board, why have the rule at all?

I always wear socks when I fly b/c I pretty much always wear socks. I never think of my feet walking over the carpet b/c i don't really care. It's amazing how many people travel in sandals and walk barefoot when others seem to be such germaphobes.
I never wear shoes in my house. I never wear shoes in most of my friend's places. I don't even put on shoes to check the mail unless the pavement is too warm. Life is too short to live in fear.

I don't believe I've ever diagnosed anyone on this board, as y'all are not part of any TeleMed program I've ever participated in. Was the sarcasm meter supposed to be on this comment, or are you gearing up for an attack on my me and my profession? Let me know so I can load my stethoscope.....

Sadly enough, this aint a hoax. This poor woman actually operates like this on a daily basis. I feel sorry for the kid. Nhcowboy started another thread about getting a gate pass to escort her minor son to the gate on another flight. I bet he is hoping she doesn't get a pass, and he can actually go thru security with some peace! Odd statement...a "peaceful" security experience, but in his case it fits.

On first blush my first thought was poor kid, but after reading the whole thread I figured hoax. I didn't read previous posts by the OP, but now realize there's more going on here and I'm back to "poor kid".

^ Sarcasm loses some of its impact if you have to tell people it's sarcasm.

This cannot be for real. How does one "inconveniently package" water? Wouldn't one simple pour out one bottle and fill the other? Or fill one, and leave the other half-full bottle.

I can't believe this actually happened. I think the OP is playing games.

Actually the the "loss of essence" resulting in a "profound sense of fatigue... a feeling of emptiness" was not exactly due to fluoridation
