Just be happy not to be so old to forget ever being blonde - or having hair.

Compare it to the BART story.

What is a simple gesture one could use to indicate they cannot speak? I think it could involve moving one's forefinger across the throat, then placing on the lips?

I would suggest that the ASL sign for "deaf" might be appropriate.

While shaking your head "no" use the sign for "no" and "speak".

I think if I have to go through BOS or they start doing this in other airports, I'll start bringing along some copies of The Watchtower that those Jehovah's Witnesses folks keep leaving on my front door.

So when they ask me what is my destination, I'll just hand them The Watchtower and say "Heaven." If they are like most folks who encounter the JW's they will flag me by as fast as they can! And as I pass, I'll say, "Have a blessed day!"

Wow...Monty Python jokes....seriously? Kind of wanted to come here to read actual anecdotes from people using BOS. If you distilled this thread to the useful, on-topic comments it would be about 3 posts long.

There is a whole separate thread about the NPR story, BTW:

Be sure to have a witness for your private room frisking! Answering "heaven" in the context of "where are you traveling by plane" is guaranteed to get you some extra attention.

Not if they ask, "What is your final destination?" Right?

Well ... to be fair, this program just rolled out at BOS in the last day or two ... it may be awhile before enough FTers make their way through BOS to come back and report. Give it time.

After all, no-one expects the Spanish ... er, um, TSA Inquisition.

"One on't cross-beams gone out o' skew on t'treadle".

Maybe I'll use this instead of "None of your business".

Back when I was working for them the question they would always start with was, "How do you feel about flying today?"

I never heard anyone answer this question with anything other than "fine."
I can't imagine what answer they are looking for. Are they expecting, "Well, I am a little nervous because I was considering hijacking the plane to Cuba"?

They are aware that people can and do lie, right?

You didn't recognize one of the most famous scenes from Monty Python? Now THAT is suspicious.

What happens if they ask my destination and I just say, "Wow, that's weird, I thought it was right there on my boarding pass (pointing to destination)."
