I could tell you how he managed to count to 21 in mid-September, but it's a family-friendly forum.

It's quite possible that the one guy in the office who CAN count (and sometimes it's more than 10, so you know that means taking off shoes and socks ) is on vacation this week.

Notice that their budget is usually quoted as a single digit (in billions).

Nothing happened again?
Maybe we don't need the TSA?

Something got posted on the TSA Blog:
http://blog.tsa.gov/2011/10/tsa-week...aded-guns.html
They found a guy with a fake gold brick, turned him over to the police. The police arrested him on an undisclosed warrant. I'm not sure why a fake gold brick would require the police to be called, but the TSA seems to be proud of their catch.
They found someone with $50,000 in cash in a carryon. That also required the police to be called. The passenger had a fake ID and was arrested for that. If you notice, the TDC didn't catch the fake ID, the police did.
What would have happened if the warrant or fake ID wasn't involved? If the passengers miss their flight because the TSA finds items that aren't prohibited to fly/illegal, do the passengers have any recourse against the TSA?
