Why? The missed him and besides, if they did include him, the numbers would be inaccurate and we wouldn't want that to happen, now would we?

  • 3 artfully concealed prohibited items found at checkpoints
  • 7 firearms found at checkpoints
  • 5 passengers were arrested after investigations of suspicious behavior or fraudulent travel documents
  • 1 Stun gun missed

Oh boy, here we go yet again. What is happening now? Do they have any suspicious behavior or travel fraudulent? I don't see any problem the security breach at security checkpoint.

TSA Week At A Glance: 07-11-11 Through 07-17-11

No runs, not hits and one error

  • 7 artfully concealed prohibited items found at checkpoints
  • 9 firearms found at checkpoints
  • 4 passengers were arrested after investigations of suspicious behavior or fraudulent travel documents
  • 1 knife missed (same pax twice @ 2 different airports)

Wow! Not too bad at all. There is problem with TSA. TSA did not have ID checker. Someone who try to get through at security.

TSA Week At A Glance: 07-18-11 Through 07-24-11

Somebody at the TSA got to work early on Monday....

  • 4 artfully concealed prohibited items found at checkpoints
  • 17 firearms found at checkpoints
  • 14 passengers were arrested after investigations of suspicious behavior or fraudulent travel documents
  • one repeat of a TSO touching a pax urostomy bag (and same pax and at the same airport as the first offense)

Do they ever go into more details on these prohibited items or firearms? It seems like a lot of people are bringing firearms into the airport. Did they just forget they had them in their bag? Are the artfully concealed items anything to be worried about? Are they knives or explosives or are they just a larger bottle of shampoo that somebody didn't want to throw away?

Many of us believe these numbers are simply fabricated. With rare exception, they never change beyond +/- a few and the relative proportion between the three categories stays consistent.

Given the bashing they've taken lately over the fake ID guy and missing things, it makes sense that they would inflate those numbers for a couple of weeks.

It's been suggested here that the artfully concealed prohibited items are mostly illegal drugs.
