According to the local paper (http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pitt.../s_707042.html) PIT is now 100% NoS or prison frisk. I am flying out later today and so looking forward to my opt out experience.
How many other airports have gone to this in the aftermath of the new frisk policy?

Be curious to hear if they still were for you.

She then called an LEO over, demanded my name, BP, and DL so she could "make a report" and had me escorted out of the terminal. I told her that if I was being escorted out of the terminal, there was no need for such information, and she turned in a huff. I then went back and re-entered through a different checkpoint where the "offending" item wasn't even noticed.
I called the contact center and was told that the screeners are in complete control, and was offered a call back from the airport's customer service manager, which never came.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I thought this would be appropriate.
This is a comment on the story about the NoS appearing @ BUF..

As an expectant mom, I would rather have a pat-down. But believe you me, any hands go near my chest or lady garden area , you're going to have a TSA agent with a broken arm! I do believe that we need alternate ways of searching passengers...I wouldn't get in that xray machine!

BTW, it was not entirely clear what the different lanes were for, given that they removed the signs. That's one of the things that made me wonder if they are not done with the remodeling yet.

"I feel the way the world is today, unfortunately, you have to do it," said Mary Ann Carey, 79, of Williamsville. "I don't mind standing with my arms out."
Carey's husband, John, said he agreed.
"I grin and bear it," he said. "It's needed, unfortunately. The state of the country demands it."
But Carey said he gets aggravated when security officials search him, detect his artificial hip and then continue to search his entire body.
"I think they could use a little discretion," he said.

This whole topic is making me sick.

Yeah, they could use a little discretion (accompanied by judgment, of course). Why are they searching Americans nearly 80 years old in the first place? Does anybody with a brain really believe that they could be terrorists? It's a total waste of resources that could be used in some meaningful way.

According to Kip Hawley, if they don't, then the terrorists will be watching, and plan the next attack with old people..

Kip Hawley is still an idiot.
If someone could dig up that interview with Kip, I can imagine a great political-style ad juxtaposing his statement with the actual threat that materialized within the week of his statement.

Note that the video is from late-2008. Kip was on the NBC (?) nightly news last week to defend new, aggressive pat-downs, stating that the biggest threat to aviation is a bomb carried on a passenger's body. Two or three days later: cargo.
Kip Hawley is still an idiot.

Another person at the airport who we know is a TSO clerk is adamant that the policy says the direct opposite.
Whom to believe?
My protective instincts would get in and I'd shove the clerk away
