Chase's benefit terms include this misleading sentence:
Ultimate Rewards points are earned on The Edit stays. The exclusion applies only to $250 directly offset by the credit.
Any amount above $250 charged to your CSR earns 8x points.
You can split the payment for Edit bookings between cash and points - you can charge $250 to your CSR to get The Edit credit and cover the remaining balance with UR points at a rate of somewhere between 1.6 and 2 cpp. No points are earned when payment is done this way.
Any purchases that qualify for the $500 Credit for stays with The Edit will not earn points.

In fact, many of THE EDIT hotels in LV do not offer breakfast. Like someone mentioned Bellagio is one includes breakfast in the package. Cosmopolitan is another.

We stayed at Park MGM via THE EDIT program back in December. No breakfast benefits, just the $100 dining credit.

Best EDIT options in NYC?
We will be in NYC for a couple days in July. There are approximately a million Edit hotels available. I'm leaning towards one of these - any thoughts/ideas/preferences? We are mainly looking for something not $1500/night in midtown-ish. I've got IHG Diamond/Hyatt Explorer through the CSR, and I have both $250 crEDITs and the $250 IHG/Pendry/etc credit.
Thanks
- Lotte New York Palace
- Intercontinental NY Barclay
- JW Marriott Essex House
- Virgin Hotels NYC
- Luxury Collection Midtown
- The Ned NoMad
- Pendry (a little more spendy but whatevs)
Thanks

Pendry would be closer to luxury adjacent compared to the other options.

I had a very good experience on my second visit (both 2 nights) to The Mondrian CDMX with The Edit promotion. It helped that I knew "the lay of the land" of the property; service and amenities were better than my first stay and almost felt as if treated like family. Looking forward to a third trip later this year, before I likely won't renew my CSR card in October. Highly recommend the area in La Condesa, near Roma and Parque Mexico. Good value with the promos, had dinner both nights at the hotel (however, very limited dinner menu).

I made an Edit stay at Kimpton Maa Lai followed immediately by an FHR stay. At check-in (two weeks ago) The hotel said they are not supposed to give two $100 property credits for consecutive stays, but then were nice and said they would make an exception and give me a $200 property credit this time to use anytime during my 3-day stay.
The property is nice and housekeeping is great. The free drinks and snacks they offer during the day easily offset at least $200 in what I'd spend going out to buy beverages and coffees.
Back to back bookings for properties might differ if you use both the Edit and FHR program to book at the same property.

Nextcard.com (as reported by Doctor of Credit) shows that in conjunction with moving 9 hotels to 2.5 cent point boost, they lowered 243 hotels from 2 cents to 1.65 cents.

At 1.65 The Edit becomes unattractive compared to Hyatt point transfer, at least for the next month. (In many locations Hyatt is still better because it is the only option or only low cost option)

is there a list of which ones went up and which went down? All I see is a map with hotel rates.

Look, I had always assumed that the value would go down - anyone with half a brain should never have assumed the plethora of 2.0 cent redemptions were going to continue. That was with the big marketing push of the card updates and giving people a reason to want to pay the higher AF.
