A datapoint for my stay Andaz Singapore. I'm a globalist and booked a standard room via the Edit hotel, but I also booked a 1 night stay with Amex FHR. I was upgraded to a King high floor with a view of the water, but the property didn't move me up to a standard suite. I could tell they didn't want to give a free upgrade to a suite and instead offered me a "great deal" by wanting me to pay for the upgrade ($700 more). First they said they had no suites available during the week, but came back with availability when I showed them they were selling the standard suite. I said no, not worth it. With the $100 credit, they saw I had both programs booked but only allowed me to use $100, not both credits, except they allowed me to use it for my entire stay for the 2 weeks.

The property is nice and housekeeping is great. The free drinks and snacks they offer during the day easily offset at least $200 in what I'd spend going out to buy beverages and coffees.

Back to back bookings for properties might differ if you use both the Edit and FHR program to book at the same property.
