Chase's benefit terms include this misleading sentence:
Ultimate Rewards points are earned on The Edit stays. The exclusion applies only to $250 directly offset by the credit.
Any amount above $250 charged to your CSR earns 8x points.
You can split the payment for Edit bookings between cash and points - you can charge $250 to your CSR to get The Edit credit and cover the remaining balance with UR points at a rate of somewhere between 1.6 and 2 cpp. No points are earned when payment is done this way.
Any purchases that qualify for the $500 Credit for stays with The Edit will not earn points.

Is there a way to screen for Edit hotels only when using the mediocre Chase Travel Portal?
Could not find a way to sort or limit to Edit so I get a list of 150 hotels of which most are useless. The closest I could come was to sort using "highest rate" first.
Don't much care for Amex portal either but at least it allows me to limit to FHR and HC by checking boxes.

Beginning 1/1/26 the two Edit credits of $250 can be used at anytime in a calendar year.
I have now read two conflicting reports as to whether you can use both $250 credits back-to-back on one stay. In other words, can you use the first $250 credit on a Mon/Tues stay and then the second $250 credit for Wed/Thurs at the same hotel?
Along those same lines can the IHG $250 credit be used back-to-back with the regular $250 credits?

Just stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Fontenat in New Orleans with Points Boost was around 12,??? UR points. Went down to like 10.1k before went but they said could take 2-4 days for points to be refunded. Didnt think it was worth the risk.
part of edit hotels so got the $100 credit which allowed for steak and fries as well as short rib with scallops (went over by $5). Breakfast was also included up to $45 which covered a great meal.
would stay at an Edit hotel again if price was right as the credits made it really nice.

Edit choices fluctuate too much by date. I was looking at Four Seasons BJ. It was available for September as an edit but now can't find it for November. Bangkok had Siam and Capella, now I cant find. So it seems the properties go in and out of being on the slate. It's just too hard to use these credits. I checked some dates for HK in Nov and there were no Edits at all. I was willing try before renewal In chains where I have no status but this booking (along w coupon cutting nature) is stressful
I hope they make more changes fast or my CSR card being cancelled real fast at renewal.

I assume the hotels are still figuring out their participation. Some of the hotels have room rates that are quite cheap compared to the benefits. They may decide its not worth it.
FHR has been around for 20+ years. This is still very new.

But that same hotel (actually quite a few of them from different cities in Asia) is available from Amex FHR & THC. If the hotel is ok listing with Amex that provide similar benefits as EDIT, I see no reason why they would think it's not worth it with Chase. I hope Chase can figure this out soon (by Oct 26 when my benefit kick in)

Do you see them listed as the "regular" hotels during the dates that they are not listed as Edit hotels? Unlike Amex FHR, Chase portal won't list a hotel at all if no availability for the dates you selected.
If you filter by hotel name, Chase portal will show the hotel even if no availability.

Just tried to The Edit book hotels in several locations with Chase. Didn't think it was possible for the experience to be worse than Amex Travel but is was.
Only offered completely overpriced properties in Vegas, Washington DC, Nashville. The $250 credit is even more useless to me than the Amex Plat credits.
So far The Edit is a major bust but thankfully I can get some mileage from the other perks. But this card will be on the chopping block when the renewal comes up if this doesn't improve.

Checking options for 2 night stay in Bangkok, which has a ton of nice properties, but only 7 show up as "The Edit".
Amex has 13 shown as FHR plus another dozen as "The Hotel Collection".
Both this and the severely limited number of restaurants in the dining program are making the new CSR pretty poor for me.
I have been able to use Amex Plat credits without much fuss at all.
