Thanks for sharing this letter.

This may be the first time we are seeing rules against "back-to-back stay within a 24 hour period"

It's a specific one and it's exactly as you're describing. Bookable with any other card without edit benefits.

So it has nothing to do with being an Omni hotel and everything to do with Chase blocking certain Edit hotels from showing up as bookable as such. There's no workaround to force it to show up.

Same thing happened to me. I booked an Edit hotel on 12/31 for a stay in January; it posted January 1 and I got the $250 edit credit on January 2. Just got another $250 Edit credit on 1/16 and my tracker still shows I've used $0/$500 for this year. I also still show $250 available for the other hotel credit as it should since this was not an eligible IHG/Omni, etc.
Similarly, I used my dining credit on a toast gift card on 12/31 that posted 1/1, got the $150 credit on 1/1, and got another $150 credit on 1/16, though the tracker does show that I've used my $150 credit for the first half of 2026.
I'll take it.
*edit, meant to post this as a reply to post 704 above

I had exactly the same text show up at the bottom of a letter for United Renowned Hotels (which seems to be a subset of the Edit) at the Sofitel Montreal.

Is there a dedicated thread for the $250 annual credit benefit for select hotels stay?

don’t think so. I’ve been using the CSR transition to updated benefits thread for those kind of questions.

Last December I made an Edit Reservation at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas Dec. 28-30. When I made the reservation on the Chase Travel Website on the bottom it said the hotel was "Marriott Bonvoy Eligible" I included my Bonvoy Platinum # in the field provided on the website.

Fast forward 3 weeks and have still not received bonvoy stay credit or points. I have called the Bonvoy Platinum Line numerous times and been told it is a third party booking not eligible for Bonvoy credit. What does "Marriott Bonvoy Eligible" mean?

When you checked into the hotel, did you make sure that your loyalty number was on the reservation? There have been reports that the loyalty number doesn't come through from Chase so you need to have it manually added when you check in.

Marriott Bonvoy eligible means that you would get status benefits and earn points and nights just as if you booked directly so the rep is 100% wrong in telling you it's not eligible.

2 times I have been given the bonvoy line that 3rd party rates are ineligile to reseive bonvoy elite night credits or points or any other platinum benefits. I have gone through the website 2 times and gotton the same reply third party rates do not qualify. Does Bonvoy not care what Chases best clients think of the integreation of the Edit with Bonvoy?

I understand that but you didn't answer my first question - did you make sure your Bonvoy number was attached to your reservation at check in?

For your issue, you should be taking it up with Chase, as they are the ones saying it Earns Credit, make them get it for you....

Having a CSR does not make you one of Chase's best clients, most likely it makes you one of it's worst, with the majority having no other accounts with Chase, and maxing out the program so it was losing over 1B a year...... Get the JP Morgan Reserve Card, then you are one of Chase's best clients.

This is definitely still an issue with this Points Eligible bookings. I literally just experienced it a few minutes ago. I had checked in two days at a Holiday Inn through the normal IHG website. I had to add another three days and decided to try the Chase portal to trigger the $250 credit on a Points Eligible booking at this hotel. The price delta was like $35-50 (forgot). This is great as another booking I was considering had over a $160 difference for a week booking.

The hotel said they can check me out and check me in on the checkout day as long as it was after the overnight audit was finished around 6am and before checkout at 11am. That way I could keep the same room.

Thanks to this thread, I asked them to make sure my member number was attached to the new reservation. Chase is still not sending it over properly as she asked me for my rewards number.

The points eligible booking seems to be working as I received my welcome amenity points by the time I got to the room

I also suspect the Marriott number wasn't on the reservation at check in bc Chase still hasn't figured out how to send the member number every time as of two days ago. It's not that person's fault as I also would have assumed the member number had been sent along as Chase claims it would be. (Had I not read this thread).

I agree with taking it up with Chase. I am/was prepared for a fight as I took screenshots of every step of the booking: showing the points eligible, then clicking on it so the description popped up, then me entering the member number and so on until the booking confirmed page popped up.

it's stupid we have to take these steps but thanks to this thread we can make steps to ensure less aggravation later.

Not sure I agree with this being a problem on Chase' side. My Edit reservations so far have been with Marriott. In both cases, Marriott had our Bonvoy number on the reservations and were aware that they were Edit bookings, but they had not coded into their system with the right promotion code to recognize them as being loyalty eligible. There would have been nothing Chase could have done to fix the issue

It's an interface issues, so they need to work together to fix it to make it seamless for users.

That said, I also have no issues with reservations showing on IPrefer automatically.
