The hotels that have loyalty benefits will be flagged as such. Doesn't necessarily require it to be an Edit property.

Example of a non edit hotel with loyalty benefits.

Thanks. I’ve tried a few searches and it seems like non of the Hyatt hotels are rewards eligible.

And the filter function seems to be broken. For instance in NYC, if I have the search without any filters I see Park Hyatt NY listed albeit as an Edit. If I then filter for only All Hyatt hotels, then I do see quite a few Hyatt properties (though not all) and in particular Park Hyatt NY isn’t listed.

Given the Edit properties always seem to be quite a bit higher than booking elsewhere, feels like the new Hotel credits are going to be pretty useless at least if I’m looking at Hyatts.

...

IME banking with them and having their credit cards, they use ET.

As another example of the charge posting the following day, I booked an Edit hotel on 12/29 when it was in the early a.m. ET and nevertheless the charge still posted with a 12/30 date and the credit posted with 12/31 date. DPs have clearly shown time and again that Chase Travel does post their transactions with the following day's date so attempting to use a credit on the very last day of validity even if it's in the morning is bound to fail because it will post with the next day's date and use the new credit.

In case you are wondering, the Edit and the additional $250 Chase Travel Hotels credit (which is how it’s labeled by Chase for the additional $250 this year) are not stackable. The first $250 are deducted from the Edit credit then remainder from the new hotel credit.

Can you please elaborate by giving some more details, i.e. $$$ amount booked and each credit amount received? You're saying that it's not stackable, but then that there was credit received from both benefits for the same booking which to me means it is stackable.

This Reddit post shows that they received both the Edit and Chase hotels credits for their IHG bookings:

I also booked an EDIT stay IHG hotel recently. Though the credits haven't appeared yet on my CC statement, when looking at the benefits used, they show the EDIT credit and the targeted hotel credit (IHG here) were both used. So they are stackable. My $100 credit for $600+ single travel booking hasn’t shown up yet. But the Chase offers usually lag the Reserve credits by a week or so. My points credited show 0 points for the hotel booking - not quite accurate since I had to pay $17 after deducting all the Reserve/Chase offer credits

Thanks for the DP. This is how I expect it to work. I'm looking at booking a Kimpton that comes out to $530+ for 2 nights and am expecting to get both the $250 Edit and Chase hotels/IHG and then just pay a few $$ or points out of pocket.

I think your points earned will update after all the associated transactions and credits have been finalized and posted.

I don't know why, but I thought the Chase hotels/IHG was also $250 × 2 annually like the Edit and that I was going to be able to get 4 consecutive nights for a really really really good deal :D. In the meantime, it's just going to be a plain "really" good deal which is ok too.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. If you want both $250 credits, you need to spend at least $500 on the hotel.

:tu: Thanks for clarifying. Works as expected then.

I did not expect that for a $250 booking you would get $500 worth of credit leaving $250 in your pocket. It makes perfect sense that you would need to spend at least $500 to get $500 of credit. And if you spend less then you will still have remaining credit on your Chase Hotels meter to use for another time.

Does Anyone know if we can attache Hyatt suite night upgrade awards to Edit hotels that are Hyatt point and stay eligible?

This was addressed on the end of the Frequent Miler podcast two weeks ago. They didn’t cover The Edit specifically, but spoke about FHR and other third party bookings.

Short answer is “maybe”, but it seems like it’s not intended to work, but some people have been successful via Hyatt’s Facebook Messenger (of all places..), or if you’re Globalist, reaching out to your concierge.

Booked a stay for NYE at W Toronto Dec 31 - Jan 2. Paid ~$863, so out of pocket was $513 (minus $250, minus the $100 off $600). It is probably the cheapest Edit hotel option for places we frequent within North America.
Property credit $100USD, so ~$125 CAD. We split it up amongst drinks at the lobby bar and the rooftop restaurant/bar. We dropped in for drinks at the rooftop bar 1 hour prior to midnight on NYE, and really enjoyed the festivities (fire dancer and all).
Free breakfast both days up to $40 CAD before tax per person up to 2 people ($80 CAD). You can order directly from their menu. It's nothing spectacular but we enjoyed room service one day, and another day we enjoyed the views of Bloor St below when seated by the windows.
Probably one of the nicer W properties I've stayed at since it was renovated in recent years, and also well located in Yorkville, and connected to PATH for easy subway access.
Was upgraded to a city view (facing north) at #932. Best part is that we didn't have to take the elevator to go to the rooftop restaurant/bar as it's on the 9th Fl. Many rooms actually face the inner courtyard so we enjoyed the north view, which gave a view of the subway entering/exiting to/from underground. Generally very little traffic so not much noise at all.
I would definitely stay again as we frequent visiting Toronto.
PS. The rate here is usually even cheaper but since we did NYE, it was higher than normal.

Not Hyatt, but we tried to apply an IHG CSU award to an Edit hotel booking and couldn't do it. The rep said the rate is not eligible. I think it would be the same for Hyatt.

It wasn’t clear to me how it would work. If you pay $250, can you get both $250 Edit credit and $250 from the yearly travel credit? Would this new hotel credit follow the $300 travel credit? We didn’t know before.

Also unknown was which credit would be applied first. Now we know. Edit first then the $250 hotel credit.

we were able to apply marriott upgrades to our edit bookings
