It may have answered before, does the Edit hotel booking through Chase Travel earn hotel elite qualifying nights? I know Amex FHR does, but don't know whether Chase Edit does. Thanks!

Pretty bummed about the lack of breakfast benefit at so many Vegas Edit hotels - especially as it is listed as a benefit on the website but not when you chose the hotel. The missing amenity devalues the benefit, and even more disappointing as the promotional material clearly emphasizes this benefit. It's not like I absolutely need the food - but with the price increase it just seems like a bait and switch. The Chase card was a better value before for sure - and now has clearly less value distinction for similar benefits offered by Amex (restaurants, hotel amenity on the Edit vs FHR). I may need to reconsider renewal.
I just copied this from the Chase web site.....breakfast the very first benefit listed and emphasizes how this can save you $$ Benefits of The Edit by Chase TravelIn addition to access to a curated selection of luxury hotels worldwide and priority customer service from Chase Travel, The Edit provides several benefits that may enhance your stay upon arrival and throughout the remainder of your trip. They include:Daily breakfastThe Edit provides complimentary daily breakfast for two for the duration of your stay. Depending on the hotel, breakfast may be sit-down service or buffet. No matter how breakfast is served, you may be able to save daily by not adding breakfast to the cost of your trip. |

On behalf of Bellagio Resort & Casino Las Vegas, we are pleased to welcome you as a guest of Chase's luxury hotel program ... Daily breakfast for two: Two (2) $30 breakfast credit per day, per reserved bedroom Just left Bellagio with Edit, seems well worth it for breakfast and dining credit alone ... Letter explaining breakfast for 2 $60 per day at select on site places (Sadelle, patisserie, pool restaurant, etc for Bellagio), $100 experience food and dining credit per stay most all MGM restaurants with link to list ... When checked out indeed got the breakfast credit at Sadelle's. Overage of $60 from 1st breakfast chipped at the $100 experience credit and rest used when we ate at Aria restaurant We stayed at The Cosmo ... We had room service for every breakfast which was included in the breakfast for two. We used the $100 credit on dining at the hotel. At checkout, I know we ran over the $30 a day per person breakfast with room service but we weren’t billed any additional Chase "The Edit" hotel perks? : r/vegas |

Each property will be flagged in the Chase Travel search as to whether it will earn hotel loyalty points and/or have the status benefits honored. In the searching I've done it seems most will.

How can I find out whether an Edit hotel will earn hotel loyalty points? I booked Kimpton Qiantan Shanghai by IHG on Chase Travel as an Edit hotel, but I cannot even find the booking on my IHG online account. Thanks!

Hoping that someone may start a CSR/Edit thread that is similar to the Amex/FHR one:
Reasonably priced FHR or THC properties? https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...roperties.html The utility of the hotel credit would play an important part in my decision to ever get the card again..... I currently value TheEdit benefit at $0 so anything useful would be an improvement. |
Stayed at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, this is what I got:
Daily breakfast for 2 - Received at downstairs restaurant Room upgrade at check-in, if available - Negligible, the upgrade was for a 'higher floor' $100 property credit (includes dining, spa or other activities at the property) - Dining Credit of ~$130 CAD Early check-in/late check-out, if available - Denied. Welcome amenity - Did not receive Wi-Fi - lol Overall, a worse experience than FHR. |

Does a prepaid cash/points booking of a The Edit hotel activate the $300 credit or must it be all cash? I scrolled back as far as #1219 and didn’t see this addressed.
