However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Is the $300 credit per cardmember year or calendar year?

It's not like the CSR and not based on statement date. As long as the charge posts by December 31st you can apply a credit for the same calendar year.

Anyone have any insight how the $4K minimum spend earned-nights will be handled? Trying to decide if it's worth cramming in the spend before 8/18 or waiting until after.

I don't get the difference between spending before 8/18 or later. In both cases you will receive the certs anyway. Unless you want to redeem them prior to 8/18 but I doubt you will receive them b/c the next statement won't close until September.

I’m a new cardholder. Do the 2 free nights really expire one year from when the card was opened? That’s what I was told.
I was hoping to push out the date a little by not completing the spending immediately, thinking I get 12 months from the first day they’re available. Thanks.

1 Ritz Carlton Credit Card Airline Fee Credit?
I was hoping to find a thread on this already, but surprisingly couldn't find one. In past years I have been able to easily hit the $300 credit, but I'm not traveling much now. I haven't used credits this year, and I was wondering if there's any way to get some of "non-fee" expense reimbursed? Doesn't look like AA, UA, DL gift cards work anymore. Any suggestions?

Delta gift card shows up as Delta GC, United doesn't offer GC anymore. AA if I recall shows up as AA GC on the statements also.

Anyone else noticed that the Ritz credit card image on the website/app is gone? Looks like a standard card picture now.

Yes, I assumed that might be for their upcoming conversion to VISA Infinite.
