NO RECORD OF ME EVER HAVING A BA CARD!!!!! I KNOW!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

We will see in a couple of weeks if I get the dreaded letter!

BUT! I do have a secured message confirming no record and I'm good to go

The other 3 times they told me straight out that since they haven't established if I can handle my recently opened cards well, they cannot approve this one right now.

They said that they can reconsider the same application up to 30 days after it has been submitted. I will probably call them after I have made my first payments on the Sapphire and Explorer.

Any ideas, comments are welcome
Honestly, trying to get three Chase cards in that time frame is pretty difficult unless one is a business card. Even getting a second card usually requires a recon call. I'd wait until 60 days from last app before trying again.

Okay, I just landed it. Here is my experience with this:

1. Used the one way routing in the first post that was just under $1400.
2. Got the offer exactly as already said
3. Applied and got the pending notification
4. I back out of my browser at that point without purchasing
5. Called Chase and they asked my name and data of birth and said I have been approved and will have my card within 30 days. BINGO!

100K miles on the way! Now, I just need to find some reasons to go to Dallas and Chicago from FSD!

Also, I don't understand why the moderators still have "must buy ticket" in the title.

Good point; it's a misleading title.

Often things work out after clearing the browser cache and deleting all cookies, then trying again. Hopefully that will help.

I also made sure I was logged into my account when doing the booking. Did you do that?

I've tried it several times (and just went through the steps again a moment ago) and the offer still appears. (Note: Each time I have done this without logging in to my BA account.)

Did you pick a one way flight for about $1375? I did mine on a Tuesday in May.

I gave up on Safari, went to Firefox and it worked. It said I will get my decision within 30 days. It is advisable to call Chase or just wait?

I tried it both ways - logged into my account and not logged in. I had no problems either way.
