There's also a up to $1,000 cash rebate per $15K purchase

No gift card/cash coupon - actual purchases of goods and services only.

30,000 AM and $3,000 cash rebate maximum. Per cardholder limit so no card sea.
God of knowledge, is iPad at lowest cost & easiest for earning these miles?

For the BankComm dining promotion during weekend (3x), the 2x extra on dining does not include the 1x extra for spending > HK$300 on the Diamond CUP card right? So, effectively, if I use the BankComm Diamond CUP, I can potentially earn 1 mile for every HK$3 of dining spending (> HK$300)?

And the maximum pt allocated to the promo is only 50k bonus pts?

Thanks.

Taiwan, Japan, Korea: 11X (with 2K threshhold) = up to $1.53/mile= (@ $0.1/mile) 6.55%

China and ***HK***(my emphasis): 6X (with 2K threshhold) = up to $2.67/mile = (@ $0.1/mile) = 3.75%

Condition: min spend $2,000 which doesn't count for the promo

Limit: 150,000 *extra* points *per card* (Japan/Korea/Taiwan $17,000, PRC/HK $32,000)

Finally got a worthwhile spend offer!
I've received my 150K points x 3 cards in full (probably was credited 13/11 http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...?id=12558&p=22 )

Some colleagues and I just tried to use a Citi card at Dressed in IFC for their merchant promo (listed in offer 4), and they said basically the offer is no longer valid because the store can choose to "end it" at anytime. Just in case anyone else happens to buy things/dine at other stores in the list using the offer... maybe double check with sales beforehand.

Bit cheeky of them, but they can probably argue clause 6. But considering this offer only started yesterday, it is totally pointless they even bothered to sign up to it.

I would be complaining to Dressed (and Citi) saying ... are you guys playing at.

Yeah Dressed salad haha. They're quite popular so I guess they can get away with it... I mean we bought our food there anyway X_x

Seriously it started just yesterday though? The lady was saying now yes they had that offer "before" but now they're not doing it anymore. I thought it had always been going on.

Is this bait advertising on Dressed Salads http://www.legislation.gov.hk/blis_i...E?OpenDocument ? I would complain to Customs and skip complaining to Dressed.

I know this doesn't exactly belong here but in case anyone cares: since I first got the Dah Sing United Mileage Plus Master Card this year January, I exceeded 200k HKD total spending recently and just got their letter thanking me for the continued support and that they will waive next year's annual fee (I didn't ask for a waiver before).

So it seems the annual fee is waivable after all but I guess after the February award chart devaluation and the April overseas earning devaluation (4$ up to 5$), they're looking to retain customers.

Svellmann - they seem to have softened up http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...p?id=11716&p=4

Shacom $0.8/mile PH/$4/mile other day dining 15 Nov-31 Dec

http://www.shacombank.com.hk/bankscb...14_leaflet.pdf
http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=13390

The $4/mile seems to have min spend
$0.8/mile requires $600 min spend

Max extra points 50,000 pts (6,250 miles) <-- with a limit, it's harder for them to claim abnormality.

The only other observation I would make is that they've excluded Unionpay from the promo, so if you're going to a hotel that codes its restaurants under its own MCC including (no means exhaustive) Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La, Holiday Inn and Icon, you can forget about this promo and use Bankcomm instead.

Alan945. For tax payment, neither.

Let me cut it short. There are no miles offers tax payments on any HK-issued credit cards save HSBC Plat --> CCB CUP wacko earn strategy as listed in wiki. I will update should any become available.

For non-tax bill payment - DBS black nothing. PBVI 1 pt per $1 paid ($15/mile) https://www.sc.com/hk/priority/prior...kingcreditcard
