There's also a up to $1,000 cash rebate per $15K purchase
No gift card/cash coupon - actual purchases of goods and services only.
30,000 AM and $3,000 cash rebate maximum. Per cardholder limit so no card sea.

I bought a $18K purchase, followed by a pair of $1K purchases.
I was given $1,000 coupon plus a stamp for the the first purchase.
But I was refused stamps on the second and third purchases on the ground that I must earn coupons in order to earn stamps. Since I've busted my coupon quota for November, I am unable to earn any further stamps.
Had I registered my $1K slips first I could have obtained 3 stamps. I asked if my first registration can be undone but the counter staff said the system won't let them.

This sounds very compicated. I looked at the terms which are in rather stilted English.
I then tried to look up Club ic, the English is worse. The question still remains, how does one join Club ic?

other than the HK$1k gift voucher, was the Citi credit card the best card to spend HK$18k?
I am thinking about getting the new iMac myself. thanks

As for handbags, I was repeatedly castigated at HKG DO for planning a YQ-racking routing from DOH to HKG via LHR, for the part purpose of letting the missus loose on Hermes in T3 (surrendering any opportunity to try the BA A380 along the way). I think I can keep my missus from splurging at IFC.
1,000/18,000 = 5.55%. Hard to beat. But I really couldn't get the miles...

also don't forget HK$200 fee for conversion of points to Miles.... as far as earn ratio goes, the Plat Charge is far infeior to CX Elite.

Sorry first post here - not sure whether this is the right thread to post the question:
I've registered and have been using my DBS Black MasterCard. How can I redeem the miles? By using its DBS$ Balance Redemption function online? I also use the CX Elite card and it's just so convenient as it just automatically converts for you...
Thanks!

CCB CUP $200 for $80,001 tax payment 21 Nov-28 Feb
http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=13432
http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...p?id=13436&p=1
Although it says "targeted", my missus and all card jings who've heard about the offer got the same offer.
The only point of the "targeting" is to restrict us to play one CCB card each. I think it's to avoid the 5-card card sea I pulled on them to max the $150 Mannings/$25K tax payment through combining and splitting various colleagues/relatives card bills into $25K parcels.
$200 for $80K tax payment = 0.25% in supermarket coupons, nothing to write home about and easily beat by BoC's 0.5% (to 10K...) offers.
And I shouldn't really mention a cash rebate offer here.
***Except*** Earning miles on tax via CCB Dual Currency and HSBC @ 16.67/mile is also applicable on the CCB CUP card ($16.67/mile is 0.6% cash rebate to me if 1AM = $0.1) so this $200 is really just icing on the cake.

CCB CUP $200 for $80,001 tax payment 21 Nov-28 Feb
Hello, I'm a first time poster but have lurked in this forum since relocating to HK. The amount of collective wisdom on how to maximise accrual of Asia Miles is amazing!!!
Anyway, thanks PercySmith for explaining the CCB CUP-IRD method. I too received the offer letter but unfortunately threw it out without reading it properly as I thought from a quick glance that it was only promoting tax loans! Could you please confirm if the threshold payment level is only counted from a single payment of that amount, or does the t&c permit cumulative payments to IRD so long as it's made during the promo period? If possible, could you scan and upload the t&c please? Many thanks in advance!

There is a designated card for this offer, almost always a Unionpay. You can call them up to find what your designated offer is.
I just had a CCB CS call me just now to confirm I've moved enough limit from my other CCB cards to the designated card to pay $80,001 without prepayment. I had her confirm to me the offer:
- allows multiple payments (yes)
- to multiple accounts (yes)
