Derek2010: yes, and for Prestige you earn $6/mile. I should update the wiki for this...

So, Citi Prestige is better than Citibank Premiermiles in this case?

Then, for local spendings, is there any conflict between having both DBS Black MC and Citi Prestige? (both $6=1 Mile, no fee)
If both cards can co-exist, should I use them alternately?

For me, Citi can exchange for Avios, which are more valuable for me to do short hauls in. DBS/Bankcomm can't.

For Asia Miles, its really the redemption bonus that'll differentiate them.
Citi hasn't had a redemption bonus for Prestige yet (last year's 8% was for Citi PM)
DBS is doing a 8% bonus for 15,000AM redeemed and 10% bonus for 251,000AM redeemed

Then, are Citi Prestige and DBS Black MC safe to co-exist and be used alternately?
e.g: For RMB spending, Citi Prestige treat it as local spending, while DBS treats it as Overseas spending.

derek - both offer the same Asia Miles earn rates - you just have to look out for little rule differences like that one. Or promos.

DBS Black - spend 3K, pay $120 for 1,000 AM (to 31 Jul)

http://www.dbs.com.hk/en/consumer/cr..._speedpass.htm

$0.12/mile, plus a spend requirement. I personally won't do it.

But I think there're some of you here who want to buy miles at $0.12 (psychiatrist with SCB), so I post it FYI.

Noticed some discrepancy with the calculations of the extra RC from the HSBC Winter Promo. There's 80 extra RC missing, which seems to be from the Mannings transaction on Fri-Sun.

I have 2 transactions on 17 January (Friday):
- spent HK$2k in Mannings -- should earn 280 extra RC right (2000*50/500 + 80)?

- spent another HK$1.5k in Times Square (as I had one 50 RC voucher from the story thingy) -- as the cap for designated merchants (in Times Square) is HK$3k, only HK$1k is eligible to earn extra RC, which in this case will be 1000*30/500 = 60 RC + 50 RC (110 RC)

Total, I should have earned 390 earned but it seemed that HSBC only credited me with 310 RC (110 for TS and another 200 for Mannings). Called-up HSBC this afternoon and the agent promised to check again. No news till now (after more than 3 hrs).

Do tell me if I am calculating things wrongly.

You've double counted 80RC.
Since you said you were a only get 30RC for TS, that's also what you get for Mannings as a designated merchant as well.
But for shopping at Mannings on weekends after 10 Jan 14, you get 20RC/500.
So for your 2K spend you should get 2,000/500x30 + 2,000/500x20 = 200RC

However the designated merchant cap's been stated wrongly - it's 200RC a week max not $3,000 spend
So by my reckoning you should earn 200RC (max for the week) + 80RC Mannings extra + 50 story = 330. You're 20RC short.

BEA has a new card now - to replace the old one. HKD 8 to 1 Asia Mile, double for overseas. Will leave details to experts here.

BEA Flyer World MasterCard (not SG)

Bit skeptical - many of us here play BEA with targeted promos. This new card may not get targeted

Thanks percysmith ^

I am still awaiting for their call-back.
