Nah, no F on that flight. I'm currently burning through several million AAdvantage miles commuting monthly to SEAsia. When I get back to paid tix, I'll use xONEx fares; and I'll prefer longer routings in order to increase earnings (miles/$). Actually, I've never flown JL. They seem to have precious little award space available in the F cabin.

You'd really rather fly BOS-XXX-SFO-HKG-YYY with two segments in AA domestic F and one probably in KA short-haul J rather than BOS-NRT-YYY in JL long-haul J for less miles?

I know CX F is far superior to JL J, but is it worth two extra connections and three segments in cabins worse than JL J?

BOS-ORD-HKG-YYY would also be worth considering. I think CX should either add another flight to ORD or start service to another major airport at least 150 miles from JFK.

Yes, indeedy. It's BOS-XXX-HKG-BKK. Most of the time I'm able to get the JFK connection. Very short flight on AE, soon to be mainline 738 service. And there are now three daily one-stops BOS-DFW/ORD-SFO, AA 1461, 451 and 1397.

For me, yes. I am quite severely affected by jetlag. Being able to fly in the F cabin due to my mileage bank and what I've learned here on FT, the CX bed really allows me to sleep, thus almost completely eliminating my jetlag problems on these long trips.

Haven't done the ORD connection yet, as nothing has been available. I will try it, though. Obviously, the BOS-ORD segment is much shorter and easier than a one-stop to SFO. With the speculation for EWR running high, that would give me more options, too.
