Cancellation fee for F fare ex-UK ( £300 or £600?)

Hi,

Considering booking an EDI-LHR-JFK flight in F for the August Bank holiday weekend.

The fare details suggest a cancellation fee ( prior to the first flight of £150 per direction) under each leg.

Does this mean for a cancellation fee

(a) 2x £150 ( £300 in total)

or

(B) 4x£150 ie one for each of EDI-LHR LHR-JFK JFK-LHR and LHR-EDI?

Many thanks

TBS

If I've correctly understood the way it now works, it's likely to be the former.

To check, price the itinerary using ITA. When you've got exactly the matching fare, check the breakdown.

If there are two fare lines (which it's likely to be), the first for EDI-NYC covering EDI-LHR and LHR-JFK; and the second for JFK-LHR and LHR-EDI; then it's 2 x £150 because the fee is per fare component, and two fare lines means only two fare components.

This is definitely more expensive than the recent NYC flight + hotel sale - think I'll be holding out for a flash New Year's sale again

Hi,

My parents are looking to fly out to LAX to visit late March 2017. They're wanting either Y outbound and W inbound or W both ways (depending on price)

At the moment, Y out, W back is pricing at around £720pp return and W both ways is around £860pp.

I feel like this might drop a little if there is a sale; is it worth risking it and waiting out in the hope it drops?

I'm pretty sure that is the sale price... normally pricing for W both ways is closer to £1,400?

If this is from LHR, that really is close to as cheap as it gets for W. Y might go down a little albeit probably not very much.

Ah I see, thanks for this! I might encourage them to just book it

It's NCL originating not LHR but I assume this won't have too much difference in the price

Cheapest I see from NCL is GBP 960 for W both ways and GBP 780 for Y one way W the other

I bought a return WT+ for LHR-LAX for £686 two or three weeks ago, but i don't know if it was some kind of mistake fare or if it will come back. Since you're flying ex-NCL I think £860 seems like a good fare though!

Just managed to book them both in WT+ both ways for £820pp return through a travel agent...I feel that's pretty good. It has ticketed through as T class
