Don't you mean Druk air? I didn't think Dragonair (KA) flew to Bhutan.
I would add a recent flight from Leh in Ladakh to DEL. Definitely the most spectacular take-off ever. Took us a good 15-20 minutes to clear the top of the mountains, essentailly doing circles in the Leh valley to gain sufficient height

The early morning widebody arrivals tend to use 34L (although my last couple of times have been the cross runway). So right hand side.

IIRC, LUN, HRE, DAR, EBB and one of the NBOs are daylight on the northern run.

It seems that the smaller planes provide the more interesting experiences. Once had a provide tour of LA. The fun bit was there were only two of us and the pilot, who was pointing out all the landmarks with one hand while keeping us up in the air at the same time. I was a bit worried when he was reading off a checklist before take off, but I'm still here so it was fine. Not particularly scenic really but all good fun.
Would love to try the ZQN experience. My BA vote just has to go to my hometown as well even though there are more scenic moments over Afghanistan and and such places.

A left hand seat into EDI is essential this time of year. Gorgeous views of the city when approaching from the East.
Also the bloke who owns the farm near the airport has a great sense of humour - couple of weeks ago he had harvested 60 into his wheat field!! Obviously someone's birthday who was arriving by plane. (mother-in-law perhaps - lol)
During the World Cup in '98 he planted seeds such that a massive St Andrews Cross grew in his field for those arriving to see!!

Pre 9/11 days the best seat was the jump seat behind the FO into GIB on the 09 approach or the seat behind the Capt. on a takeoff from 27.

I still like flying to/from CFU if only to see the faces on the self-loading freight as we fly low in from the South at eye leve with some of the villages on the hill, swooping in over the lagoon and landing (or not) about 1/3 way down the runway and leaving rubber on the runway in an attempt not to run on to the main road at the other end of the runway! Or coming in to CFU from the North when you swear the locals are waving at you and you're low enough to count the olives individually - then powering up to go round because of a stray crosswind or the fact that every landing at CFU is manual with no ILS to guide you!

Slightly OT, but the most memorable was diving down in crazy circles into Baghdad a week after the war was "won" in the back of a blacked out C130... The fires still burning and the odd tracer round - all mixed up with the sound of Yankee soldiers vomiting... memorable to say the least.

Okay I see we are getting into the exciting stuff now.
Went on a sea plane ride from Vancouver harbour up over the Coast Mountains. Seated beside the pilot getting ready for take off I asked him about all the timber you see floating about the place enquiring how he managed to avoid it - he replied "you can't see it until you hit it" which kept me quiet until we were airborn.
It was a fantastic flight and worth every dollar.^

CPT-LHR in 4A up through the middle of Africa and over the Sahara. That was a bit special.
I fondly remember a BKK-LHR dayflight I took, enjoying the views over the '-stan' countries of Southern Asia. Quite magnificent scenery ^^
Other memorables:
SFO-LAX flight that took off to the north then banked right round to the south, great views of San Francisco, the Bay Area and the bumpy ground near the San Andreas Fault.
EIS-ANU on a Liat puddle jumper, great views of the Leeward Islands and Montserrat.
RIC-LGA flying up over Brooklyn, then banking round Shea stadium and into LGA. Magnificent views of Manhattan!
Eastbound US transcons SFO/LAX-ORD/IAD/BOS/JFK - although some claim the midwest is boring I find the uniform appearance rather intriguing. For hour after hour it all looks exactly the same!
JFK-LAX - Have had some great views of the Grand Canyon

OK, flying over the Andes from Brazil to Santiago was awesome And in the last few years I've never tired off landing into Rio de Janeiro via Sao Paulo, despite being struck by lighting last time round. The flight to Iguezu Falls was amazing particularly by helicopter over the falls and even by boat underneath the falls - the most amazing power shower ever!! Love it and want to go back again soon.

LHR - PHX coming in right over the grand canyon (unsusual routing according to the pilot) and the pilot gently banking from left to right so everybody could have a view. Spectacular........
