List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

Indeed. At a time when the company was selling off anything of value and figuring out how many aircraft to dispose of, plus launching consultations over thousands of job cuts and wondering how long their cash reserves would last, they’re being castigated for not throwing money at reupholstering armchairs in a closed lounge. A bit of perspective helps here.

Ah yes, I stand corrected, but that was a time when none of us knew what was going to happen next, and as has already been alluded to BA were fighting for survival.

You could potentially pay for a Plaza lounge if they’ve reopened by then, or just give him a coffee allowance and send him to Nero. The one in T2 landside is very comfortable.
Is alcohol available in the arrivals lounge? I thought it was just tea/coffee/water/juices. Unless things have changed it's worth noting the T5 arrivals lounge always used to close at 2pm too. Given the layover and the free transfer to T5 there's no harm in going to the arrivals lounge.

During the renovation they shunted people to some no-name lounge that really sucked, and shortly after the renovations were done we had covid, and it shut down again. In July and October I originated in Geneva and BA wasn't offering access to any lounge. In July I used a Priority Pass card to go to the AF lounge, which was terrible and had virtually nothing to eat or drink. In October I tried to get into the Mahaba lounge with my Silver card but was refused entry.

Please give us a report on the Geneva lounge, if you or anyone else passes through it.

I had a few glasses of champagne with breakfast after a shower in the arrivals lounge in late September, so alcohol is definitely available. The offering was pretty much the same as the F lounge as I remember

I’m there tomorrow afternoon. Will report back…. Looking forward to seeing the refurb as I was also in the old one a lot. Although it was never the same after the Movenpick freezer went 😭

Yes, you can get champagne in the Concorde Breakfast room.

Never mind: But what is not understandable is that there was no alternative offered at the checkin (I'm a gold member and checked in at first class desk). When I asked the checkin clerck she didn't even know if gold member would be able to use other Lounges in JNB. It turned out that this is not the case; even the comair lounge (flights to Lusaka & Harare) was off limits.
Does BA don't care about their customers or what is the issue? All other Airlines offered their frequent premium flyers at Johannesburg a Lounge option. (Almost all Lounges were open aside from the BA and the Emirates one)

A side note about the First Class Lounge at T5 Heathrow. Though the lounge was closed for some time because of COVID British Airways was unable to update the facilitiy.
- USB connectors broken already in 2018 were still broken, electricity plugins not available at every seating and some had no power.
- Armchair covers torn & scratched. (the same as 2018).
However the quality of the food on offer has improved.
just to add to this in respect to the Gold lounge at T5: These problems were already there in 2016. So what is the excuse now? (but yes the food was worse then)

The Geneva lounge is indeed open; first time I’ve been in since the redesign and they really have done a cracking job with it. It feels much bigger, less like a corridor and the lighting is very relaxing.

The F&B is almost entirely via the same app and QR code scanning as LHR. The only self serve is cans of soft drinks from the fridges. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Brewdog taps are dry 😭

Here are a few photos and screenshots.

Great report and photos; than you very much!

The old lounge wasn't very good, and the food (when I was there) was limited largely to small sandwich pieces that were 98% bread and 2% filling. The aforementioned ice cream freezer was locked most of the time, very anal in a Swiss sort of a way. I expect to spend a few hours in the lounge in late December, and I'm now looking forward to it. Thanks again.

p.s. you need to recharge your phone :-)

Currently in The BA (Aspire Lounge) in Inverness.

Glad we got in early as people were not exaggerating when they said it was small !!

Must only hold about 20 if that, but staff very friendly and accommodating and a reasonable selection of beverages and foodstuffs.

Mauritius (MRU) ATOL Lounge is now open.

It’s fairly good for a contract lounge, decent hot food buffet and full bar service/cocktails.

CPT lounge

I understand BA lounge in JHB remains closed, any ideas when CPT will open again - when daily rather than 3 times a week flights commence ??

Does anyone have any insight into whether or not the BA Lounge at Newark (EWR) is opening anytime soon?

There are only three flights a week at the moment, but that will ramp up in the coming weeks - once there's a daily schedule, I'd expect the lounge to reopen.
