List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

My full review of the mid-pandemic experience at both the LHR T5 Galleries First lounge and the GLA lounge is included as part of my trip report here: A Glimpse of Glasgow: Grounded No Longer

An example of catering at the former of the two lounges, from September 2021:

I was in CPT two days ago and was told the lounge will re-open on the 16th. Since it was still closed when I was there I was given a voucher for 250 rand to be used at the restaurant in the terminal named Icons.

Forgive me if wrong forum for this question. Flying F with AA to LHR transitioning to BA CE to FCO. LHR layover 3 1/2 hours. OneWorld states access to Concorde Room for F with AA. Is this applicable to my arrival, but transitioning? Not a huge issue, but (1) it would be nice and (2) I don’t want to be that idiot holding up an entry line.

I usually fly BA to the UK from the US, most commonly in F in recent years, and am quite familiar with the CCR as a result. By coincidence, I'm doing a Tier Point run in December (on a trip I was going to be doing anyway) and will myself arrive on an AA flight in F, from JFK. So this question has importance to me as well.

Everything I have read here on these forums indicates that you should be able to use the CCR during your layover. And don't worry about clogging up a line of people trying to enter the CCR; that most assuredly will not happen, I have never seen a line there.

One thing to note is that unless you are flying in on AA from JFK, you will probably arrive at terminal 3, not terminal 5, where your FCO connection leaves from and where the CCR is located. So your 3.5 hour layover in that case would be reduced by the time needed to change terminals, which will unfortunately include having to cross the UK border as there is no way to change from terminal 3 to terminal 5 without entering the UK. In this case, if you are arriving in terminal 3, you could eat up a significant part of your connection time in changing terminals, and might have considerably less than 3.5 hours available to spend in lounges.

Assuming that you are bringing liquids in your carry-ons, be advised that if you bring a lot of them (e.g. fill up your quart sized ziplock bag with all manor of liquids) you may end up wasting a half hour to be cleared through security. Unless you need your liquids during the flights, it is best to bring the least possible quantity in your bags and put the rest into your checked luggage. You will have to pass through UK security whether or not you need to change terminals at LHR. As opposed to the lackadaisical approach we are used to from the TSA in the USA, the UK security is much more intrusive and it appears that they are actually taking their security screening seriously.

prior to covid you would get access to the galleries first lounge in T5 with that itinerary. CCR is not a oneworld lounge so in terms of access by cabin it was only BA F that counted.

with the disruption over the last 18 months i think AA F passengers were being allowed in the temporary concorde terrace, but as we are now back to something like normal with the CCR fully open it may be that we are back to normal rules and it would be galleries first for you, but it may be worth asking at the CCR reception.

Hi all,

I'm flying BA Club Europe to Tenerife on Sunday, never flown from Heathrow before as I used to live closer to Gatwick. Could someone let me know which lounge at Heathrow I can access? I assume Galleries but not sure if it would be North or South.

Thanks.

You can use either, or both if you do choose.

South is better for high gate numbers, North for low.

Let me jump in with one more question about the Lounges in LHR

Have a 3h stopover on Saturday at T5.

If I arrive at T5B and next gate will also be at T5B.

Galleries Club Lounge at the B Satellite, or worth the time to go to the main Terminal an acces the Galleries First Lounge?

Thank you

There is security at T5B for those who are arriving at T5B/C and whose flights are showing as departing from the B/C gates.

Hi

If your departing flight is from t5b ( on display screens) and you land at t5b you can use the t5b security point.
if your flight is not displayed then it is off to the t5a main transfer security point

Regards

Tbs
ah tobias-uk beat me to it
also once on t5b you can walk via the underground passageway to t5a and back if you want to visit galleries first

Thank for all that information

Is the offer worth it, to take the extra way, or nearly the same offer at T5B?

Hi
t5b is a galleries club but tends to be quieter than the t5 lounges
t5a has the Galleries first lounge and 2 galleries club lounges.
galleries first has better food and drink
It is probably a 10 min walk max from t5b lounge to t5 galleries f
Regards

With AA still having JFK at T5, I wonder if access to the CCR is allowed on that basis? Mind you it does not sound like the OP is coming from JFK if they are into T3 in the first place.
