It’s the FAA that has suspended Boeing from being allowed to deliver its 787s due to quality issues, mainly resulting from their Charleston factory I believe. The current predicted lifting of this is sometime this summer.

Based on the last few pages, it looks like LHR-LAX is sage from old CW seats, is that true?

I had an IB flight LAX-MAD-LHR get cancelled and going to see if they put me on an LAX-LHR nonstop. Would I be safer from old sests if I book the a350 or the 77W? It’s in September if that matters.

Not necessarily. 77W both ways 3 weeks ago to LAX. Old seats on way out and CS on the way back.

All A350s have Club Suite. If the A350 gets swapped to a B777, then obviously no guarantees.

thanks. It seems like new to old 777 swaps are more common than a350 to 767s?

A350s have generally not been swapped out (apart from BA283 swapping to A380s for May). Having said that, checking the regs the last 2 months (yes, I know, I have too much free time) of the 777's to LAX seem to be 80-90% CS, so it seems BA is trying to send the CS birds to LAX . If I where you I'd book the A350 to LAX as I also find it a more relaxing aircraft than the 777, even if the meal service seems to be slower.

Yes, A350 changing to other aircraft types are uncommon but do happen.
777 changes from CS to non CS happens more often, like it happened to me on my LHR-LAX.

I am currently booked on a CS equipped 772 later this week on BA188. I looked up the recent history of this route on FR24 and see that all of the flights in the last ten days were on CS equipped aircraft. This is my first trip post covid on this route and eagerly looking forward to trying out CS after many years on CW (which I actually like!)

A heads up to anybody booked on BA217/6 LHR-IAD-LHR. My booking in July has just switched from 77E CS to 789 CW both ways!

Apologies if this has been asked/answered already, but with 73 pages it's tough to find the answer. Per the wiki I only see three 772 configs (77H, 77L and 77M). However, G-YMMA, G-YMMU, G-YMMR, G-YMMS are list as "originally planned for 77S configuration." What is the 77S config? Is there a map of it somewhere?

B77S are the refurbished LGW CW 32J birds with new carpet / upholstery and IFE. The planes you referenced were due for that layout, but are now staying at Heathrow and will get the CS upgrade.
