On the delayed 457 (772) now and talking to the crew who broke the 350. Not my words. Glad they have a sense of humour about it all

flub closed off sadly, twice missed now.

Curious how all the other ft folk got on last night? I stayed at a Chernobyl style hotel which looked like the only guests were flight cancellations. First reroute was to LGW with IB and managed to get back on the 457 only for the 350 to be on bricks still

A lot of disappointed crew and passengers on BA457. The same crew that was yesterday morning and quite chatty. They still not sure if A350 will be flying in the evening.

Flub will always be there... the A350 won't be.

Claim

Hi all!
as you know flight 464 was cancelled last night
I managed to get my points back and the £25 that I've paid for my booking
However how do I claim for EC261
I've never done it before
I went onto BA website but I cannot seem to find the page that I need to fill out in order to claim my €250
can anyone please post a direct link?
Much appreciated

At the same time just wanna say it was really nice meeting all the fellow avgeeks and we did have a nice time after all shame it didn't work out though.....

You’ll find it in the BA forum dashboard at the top of the forum.

But here is the link...

I mentioned this before. I’m not aware of it being answered.

I know at least two of us here were rebooked on the earlier delayed flight. We were downgraded to economy and I was given a refund as about of cash and avios.

Technically we arrived back earlier than the delayed flight and we were refunded the difference between club and economy.

Other than having to rush through security and to the plane we financially are better off than if we had gotten the original flight.

Would I be able to claim under the regulations? Or does it look like BA did everything they needed to?

What I imagine is the issue here is that I arrived earlier than we would have done on the A350 (Although In the middle seat and not a suite!).

currently showing tonight's 464 as a 319, hopefully not for all those hoping to travel on the new bird.

Flightradar24 works out the aircraft type based on their historical data, so A319 is just their prediction. BA's own website currently shows A35K.

Not disputing that as I don't know any different, however I find FR24 to be usually very accurate, including accurate registrations up to 48 hours out. Hopefully not in this situation.

won’t trust them on this one. On the inaugural flight day they were still showing the aircraft as a 777 until it actually pushed back

Yes I have, a few months ago, it was your "Chernobyl style" description that gave it away. It seems to be where IB graciously books BA's overnight refugees. While not intrinsically awful, it won't go down on my list of recommended hotels. Next time I will develop selective hearing loss when I see IB agents at the top of the airbridge calling out my name - and book the Hilton or some such.
