Currently sitting in Interconinental Club Lounge in Vienna where the entire room is having to listen to a LOUD LOUD LOUD semi- retired Brit IBM software geezer who has loudly explained - to all of us and a long-suffering BA slip crew captain and first officer - his amazing redemption prowess over the past 10 years, how he never flies anything other than First, even landed once with his seat still in the sleeping position ( with the express permission of the Captain) ‘cos “he had always wanted to etc etc. Always manages to get all the First redemption returns Tto Sydney he needs, once booked 23 return “first class” redemption tickets to Amsterdam” blah blah blah..
Apparently we should all also use Flight Tracker to discover the inbound airframe number, then feed it to the check-in staff so as to elicit the aircraft stand number. I anticipate an international incident if it goes on like this .........

My wife reported this from her LHR-LAX flight last night..I guess you would call it a 'DYKWMHI"...
For whatever reason, premium econ did not get their amenity kits on this flight (VS). A woman a row up began to complain to the FA, and pulled out the big guns: "My husband is a shareholder."

Happy Birthday
Happy birthday to the chap, I think his name was Gaitonde, who was sitting next to me from Paris to London. He was rather charming and we had a giggle about FlyerTalk 😂

Interestingly I've actually had the reverse of this happen to me. Flying on an airline I will not disclose, my ticket was booked internally by senior management and had a long list of notes as well as the airport manager and ground team briefed on procedures for me (VIP service, escort, priority handling etc.). This wasn't the first time this has happened and certainly wasn't my first time flying out of this outstation. When i got to the gate, the agent said "Sir, I remember you from last time, you're a shareholder of the airline right?". I awkwardly laughed and continued boarding, but was an interesting experience. I still wonder what exactly was written on my file and what the staff were briefed on

Hi,
Wow, but last Friday, between AMS-LHR on BA443, noticed the worst DYKWIA during boarding. We boarded (I believe out of the norm, D-gates, but at the E-gates), there was only 2 boarding lanes, Priority (Group 1, 2 and 3) and Economy.
Since there was already a lengthy delay and late at night (stormy weather), when pre-boarding was announced, every one got into the two lanes. There was this particular group of passengers (2 guys and 1 gal - maybe early 30's or so) which were already behaving quite badly during the waiting (talking loudly and the partner of the girl teasing her by touching her bottom and calling her names) and talking loudly why is the line so long, is everyone in Group 1, etc...
When boarding was called for Priority, Group 1, the 2 guys just started pushing their way to the front of the line announcing loudly that they are in Group 1. Closer to the front, they really did shoved a guy who shouted at them (this guy later complained to the purser onboard - saying he was Gold for Life and complaining about the boarding process being so uncivilized).
They were also talking rather loudly onboard during the whole period (sadly they were also in CE) and while waiting for my bags at arrivals, they were also there waiting and still maintained their obnoxious behavior.
Never had I seen such terrible behavior especially for a full service flight - you only see this type of pax on LCC's mainly (going for weekend hen/bachelor parties).
Cheers!

Outside of a few rows of CE BA is a LCC and not a full service airline. Whilst I wasn’t there BA make a thorough mess of boarding in my experience, and group numbers 1 to 5 are pointless if staff at best enforce two groups. Whilst I’ve no reason to doubt your version of things, BA are partly to blame on the whole queuing pushing thing. They do nothing but encourage ignoring groups, so people with group 1 are stuck between standing back and watching groups 2 and 3, and possibly 4 and 5, board, or pushing through people that are almost certainly not all group 1.
Nothing excuses the obnoxious behaviour, but BA either sort boarding, or this is the norm.

Just waiting for the BA782 at gate B44. About a dozen dutifully queuing at gate for group 1. Some gent in a suit just wandered past all of us to the desk and they boarded him. No movement for anyone else in the queue yet. I salute you sir for the thickness of your skin or for having a far higher status than any of the rest of us. Still, I’m in row 1 and I’m darned if you’ll get off quicker!
update: yikes it’s 1C vs. 1D ladies and gents. Place your bets please. I think I’m fitter than him and intend to encourage him to have the bangers and mash option...
