Need a year-end TP run (ex-LON) to make / retain status?
Some tips for searching for the year-end TP run for newcomers, the below is indicative only, but hopefully provides a bit of guidance for relatively straightforward runs ex-LON. Some information on how to use ITA matrix is in post #4 of this thread (or just click here) along with these ideas, might come in handy. Feel free to share results, problems or general questions in the thread as these may not always work and there might be better deals out there...

For overnight trips remember to check BA and Iberia for their flights and hotel option as well, can get hotel for almost no extra cost at times

Need 80 TPs or fewer
Club Europe return somewhere close by is best - DUB, AMS and JER usually cheapest along with UK domestic returns. Additionally you may find that trips in to mainland Europe require a one night stay whereas the cheapest domestic CE returns do not have any minimum stay so can be booked as a same day return. If doing a back to back AMS and JER can be easier than DUB for an immediate turnaround - more information can be found in the back to back thread listed in the forum dashboard. The BA.com low fare finder can be very useful.

If you need as few as 45 TPs you might consider booking economy flights and hoping for a proactive online upgrade offer - but they're not guaranteed to materialise (so not one if you have no more time left in your TP collection year). Alternatively, booking a return to one of the 40 tier point destinations with one way in CE and the return in ET (or vice versa if cheaper). UK domestic route, Bilbao, Jersey and Amsterdam seem the most cost effective for this.

Need 85-120 TPs
Iberia flights via MAD to regional Spanish airports will get you 120 TPs as the domestic Spanish flights are 20 TPs in business. Under £300 including hotel can be available. Check BIO, GRX, VLC, BCN, SVQ etc. Example here

Need 125-160 TPs
Take a look at the shorthaul plus routes earning 80 TPs each way in business listed in the first post of this thread, MLA, IST, HEL and RAK are usually available. If time sensitive take a look at BA flight and hotel option to HEL, where you can usually get the last BA flight out on a Saturday, airport hotel and first return Sunday for well under £500.

Alternative options include positioning to JER and flying JER-LGW-XXX (AMS usually works well and avoids switching airports).

Need more than 160 TPs
You'll most likely be heading north then - OSL or VNO via HEL will get you 240 TPs, as will JER-LGW/LHR-HEL e.g. LHR-HEL-OSL for £520.
DUB-LHR-HEL return (or return to LHR) is currently a very efficient way of hitting 200-240 TPs

I used AA schedule changes to move my BA JFK-LHR flight to a later flight, which just so happened to be one where F availability had opened up. I was then able to immediately UuA to F for that segment.

They had one about a month ago. Although they are constantly tinkering with the schedule.

.
This would be the ultimate lol, I remember being offered $1000 for the return LAX to LHR once and I missed it by seconds as someone else jumped at it lol it would literally pay for most of the run haha, Also in that case it was ironic as the replacement flight left before ours as it went tech

@happeemonkee I just put some dates in to ITA Matrix at the end of August for OTP-LHR-HEL-LHR-JFK-PHX-JFK-LHR-HEL-LHR-OTP and found a £1,512 fare.
Thanks for the help folks. My error was trying to add LAX

August is no good for me due to getting new equipment installed at work. November would work better. I’ll have play around.

IME the AA gate agent is very unlikely to accept you if you have a further connection, so beyond JFK in this case.

I've offered myself up a a few times for later or re-routed flights where I had plenty of leeway, but the ticketing issues seem to mean they will always take anyone else with a simpler itin first. And for $1,000 in this case I expect they had a rush of volunteers.

Found out the answer to this one looks like there are 8 or so schedule shuffles a year so I should probably schedule this for a bit later on in the hope they break something

When I did the LAX - PTY last time round they IRROPS'd me 2 legs before the end due to bad weather, The solution was to put me on the direct transcon in Full F meaning I got full F tp's and Avios, And The ORC for the ones that I didn't take, Funnily enough I shut my gub about those

For those still struggling to get them to price up correctly, HEL is usually where the extensive layovers come from and you can usually get the LHR-HEL-LHR in at the start as long as you sacrifice the transcon for JFK to PHX as you are out of transfers. So keep the heid

HKK Run through SIN

You can do that on ITA Matrix by using multi-city, as you correctly pointed out. But the fare rules do mean that you will be paying an extra EUR 100 per stopover.
If you do route through Singapore, then one of your flights would probably be LHR-SIN or v.v., in which case, it would yield 160TP instead of the 140TP for LHR-HKG.
The HKG-BKK and BKK-SIN flights each only give 40TP.
So for a AMS-LHR-HKG-BKK-SIN-LHR-AMS itinerary, as quoted, it should be 40 + 140 + 40 + 40 + 160 + 40 = 460TP.

Yes, perfect. Thank you for that tip! Buying those tickets tomorrow. Will try to route through SIN and see if that works. Is there any good online travel agent that I could use for this? I guess skyscanner etc. won't work. Will the Chase Travel Website work? I have a chase card. This is the first time I do this, so should I just walk up to a bigger travel agent in town? Am in Prague at the moment. Maybe somebody knows a good place here? I like to support small business owners and small shops (travel agents at this point). Thank you for any suggestions! Can't wait for that trip!

you could use a TA, but to honest unless I need to use one in order to apply a GUF I think it’s far more preferable to book direct with the airline. You shouldn’t have a problem booking this directly with BA over the phone, just tell them what flights you want and what cabin/selling class. I have found that it usually much easier to deal with the airline for most issues with an existing booking, and in particular if schedule changes occur at a later date which require some rebooking.

Ah ok, I will definitely do that. I will try online first and if that doesn't work, give BA a call.
I'll need a positioning flight from NAS to AMS before the October 10th departure and a return to NAS after the trip. But that for a later post...
Looking forward to my first TP run. With the positioning flight I could maybe get 800 TP...
Thank you for your help!
