Did the 4-class Gatwick based 777s get the refurb treatment, as the 3-class ones are having? Wondered if they added the extra seat in Y to make 10-across and left the F cabins untouched ..

OH and I are booked on BA39 (LHR-Beijing Daxing) and BA38 (Beijing Daxing-LHR) next May. It's a B777-300, and the seat map is showing 56 J seats (rows 10 to 16). It's a while since I travelled in the CW dormitory and can't say I'm really looking forward to it. I've read/skimmed through this thread but can't find any specific reference to the 56J variant.
At the moment the entire cabin is wide open in each direction, with only the bassinet seats blocked. I've selected 10A and 10B, on the grounds that there'll be no-one climbing over us to get into and out of their seat, but am aware that they're close to the galley.
Does anyone have any recent experience of these seats? Are there any drawbacks that makes them a poor choice?

The other choice is last row, in this case 16 A/B or J/K which will have the window person not having to climb over anyone but the aisle seat person will have someone climbing over them.
Galley noise has never been an issue from row 10. There are toilets just behind row 16.
So pick your poison.

If you've not seen this thread it's worth a read and welcome to Flyertalk and over here on the BA Board Shankar2019, I hope you have a good flight when the time comes. Row 7 seems like a good choice.

Please can someone help me? I notice that BA are flying a third daily flight to Mumbai but the flight which leaves in the evening and returns at 1pm does not have an F cabin only a J cabin. Please can anybody tell me what type of 777 this might be? I think it is probably an old one, but it just the degree of old? Many thanks

Unfortunately it is highly unlikely since the initial 777s to get Club suite are planned for the New York route followed by a few other destinations, all from LHR. I doubt LGW will get the Club suite in the near future and MCO is definitely not on that list at the moment.
