Seat Advice - 747 WTP
Hi, I know that this is just down to personal opinion but ....
I'm on BA177 next week in WTP and I currently have the option of 13E (middle) or 15G (Aisle). ExpertFlyer says 15G might be "bothersome" due to being close to galleys / lavatories but I don't particularly like middle seats.
What do you think?
TIA.

A colleague is on a 4-class 777 in a few weeks, what I'm not sure about is if this is the 2010 or 2018 wt+ seat.
Does anyone have any further info? It's the 14f config with WT+ rows 21 to 25.

I'm on BA 183 on the 19th July, and I see that this plane is the older 74S layout. (Looks like the last time I flew WTP with BA, in about 2008!)
I haven't chosen a seat (I'm Bronze so get to choose 7 days out). I will have qualified for Silver the morning of the flight - I doubt it will have percolated though the system though. Are there any tips for this particular plane and route?

So I thought it would be worth checking whether you do mean an 86J aircraft, or whether "older" implies that you're on one of the aircraft with the 52J configuration that pre-dates this 74S refresh.

Thanks - I'm on one where WTP is rows 33-36. (marked as 74S in the photo array at the top of this thread)
(also curious if I should pre-order a meal, given the stories on here of meal choices running out!)
EDIT: What's the situation with in-seat power? the BA website info suggests 747s either have a universal plug, or they have one needing an adaptor, which I'm loath to spend £10 on buying.

Thanks I meant specifically the Empower adapters which BA suggest may be needed.

Thanks! Forgive me if I'm being dense but that's a long thread and I can't immediately see from that a clear answer on the adapters. All the chat about seats and IFE doesn't specify. And BA themselves are vague as hell (see my post above). It would be good if they allowed me to type in my flight # and get a straight answer.

Most of them. It's only the ones that have been moved to super-high-J config that have been refreshed and had proper power plugs put in.
If you look at the seat map for WT+ and compare it - you'll be able to deduce which type you'll be on. But for a 747 - the odds are still high that it's old WTP.
