This thread is a continuation of the very popular Seating Queries: World Traveller Plus thread. Its purpose is for all your questions (and answers) regarding the best, worst, noisiest, and quietest seats in WT+. Each slide below contains a three digit alpha-numeric code which relate to specific aircraft type. These "aircraft type" codes are displayed in the Manage My Booking page when you select your seats.

There are two questions that commonly get asked on FT.
1) If I choose a seat in the last row of the WT+ cabin, will the seat recline be any less than the seats in other rows? The answer to that is a universal no. Each WT+ has the same recline as all others in the cabin.
2) Are there specific window seats next to window blanks? There a few instances but they are very few - these are highlighted in red on the 777-300ER and 787-9 seat plans below.

We are on the A380 in November. We purposely chose 67 A and B so we can recline our seats without bothering anybody behind us. To be honest it doesnt really matter now, However, would you say these seats will be affected a lot by the toilets being directly behind us?

How often does the last row of WT+ on the 777-300 not get first choice of meal? is it a rare occurrence or something I should take into consideration if picking those seats.

Really useful thread, thanks for getting this going.

Is there material to add the three-row WTP layout on the four class 777-200 (the three non-ER 772s - G-ZZZA/B/C)? SeatGuru and SeatExpert deny its existence, but it's actually a very nice and intimate WTP cabin with the new hard product.

I've realised the sad news that within the next few days, the last 70J-configured aircraft will cease to operate in that configuration - and that will be the end of the 28B / 28J throne seats in WT+.

I haven't flown in either of those seats (67a/b) in WT+, but I do remember looking at them and thinking I would not want to. There are the bathrooms that you mentioned, plus the curtain in the aisle that all the WT+ passengers will have to open (sometimes fumbling) to get to the toilets. Seat A might be ok, but B will probably not be. Around row 64 might be better. I was in 63/64 on a long haul and was comfortable there.

Had family members in the last row of WT+ on a return to MIA and the catering option was take I or leave it, they had one steak and one pasta left... They are both card holders and would not choose to sit in the last row again.

I was half way down WT+ a couple of days ago and they were already getting short on choices.

Incidentally, I've never been particularly bothered by the person in front reclining in WT+, there is sufficient space that it really doesn't make you uncomfortable (unlike in WT where it is a real pain!) - in fact I turned down the bulkhead seat because it requires you to stow the TV on take-off and landing, in favour of a seat further back (which I'd certainly never do in WT).

As we can now pre-book between LGW-MCO, how does that work, should we get the choices we have picked in advance?

I'm planning on a decent breakfast at LGW before boarding but at least I will know what to expect.

Family bumped to last row of WT+(21?) on the 787-9 and said the aisle seat disturbed by traffic to / from the bathrooms, and that their window pair did not appear to recline fully as the seats are too clos to he bulkhead.

If you want to out of the center banks of seats is it highly advised to pay to book a seat in advance? And if so how far in advance would you recommend.

I don't usually fly BA (I'm on WN or UA for work), but I'm trying it this year over the Xmas holidays.

If you want to have a seat that you're happy with, then the best way of securing that is to pay for one if you're not entitled to have one pre-allocated for free. On any particular flight, it's anyone's guess really as to when the better seats will all be taken, because it can be a pretty random process. So there's no way of telling you when would be the best time to do it.

If you think you will pay for one anyway, then there is no point in delaying. If you want to wait to see how many get pre-allocated before the time you become entitled to choose for free (which may not be until online check-in opens, and even then a choice is not necessarily available), then there are free tools by which you can keep an eye on the seat map. Not least of these is by starting a dummy booking on ba.com until you get to the point where you have the option of pre-allocating a seat - that will then show you the current seat map.
