Does QF MMB allow them to be selected? If do then I think that would mean it is a BA app glitch rather than an actual block.

I still have 11C on a 320 to ARN and 23F on a 321 rtn in March. All other exit seats which were free are now showing as blocked.

INV flight also has row 10 blocked in Qantas' Manage Your Booking.

we got a dub flight where ce extends at the moment to the exit seats - all blocked as well. this is for a flight towards the end of the year.

edit : originally thought that they were taken due to the exdub issue, but seems like its the IT glitch

Just did a dummy booking on an AA itinerary, can still select exit row seats for free as a BA Gold on their site.

I'm still in exit row for LGW-AMS flight in a week but other seats are now greyed out. I'm glad I chose exit rows for all my future reservations in Y before this new enhancement.

I just checked my HBO ticket AMS-LGW and can see different price for exit row. Standard seat is £9 and exit row seat is £11. So it's not a glitch, they will be sold.

The exit row price has always been different on HBO hasn't it?

No.

I've got two HBO bookings: from HEL I'd paid for seat selection and can now only select an exit row.

Another, like my non-HBO economy, has the exit rows and everything in front greyed out.

That's not and answer to my question though?

I seem to recall on my one and only HBO that buying an exit row seat was more expensive than a non-exit row one

Actually, what's worse, if this is true, is they didn't even have the decency to tell us.

Exactly. IF (and at the moment it's a big if) this does turn out to be another enhancement then the manner in which it has been implemented is disgusting. Unfortunately with the current BA management I wouldn't be surprised.

If this is true, it is not unexpected. After all, BA needs to make money.
It could have been worse though, only exit rows are affected up to now.
You can still select all your other favorite seats in advance.

My suspicion is that they have introduced a higher price for people paying for seats for the exit row, but they will remain free for silvers and golds on non-HBO fares.

You are being sarcastic, right? What would "all your other favorite seats" be?
