Be careful though, you could wind up with Korbel.

To think I used to think I didn't like Champagne because I didn't like Korbel and Chandon. Good thing I decided to try the real stuff after moving across the pond.

Having tried Castelnau in the lounge and in the air in CE and not finding it to my taste at either altitude I decided to do a bit more research into finding what altitude it's best at.

I'm currently at the summit of Beinn Dorain (1076m/3530ft) and I'm finding that the Castelnau is quite nice at this altitude.

I thought this was an interesting interview of BA's F wine buyer Andy Sparrow, not seen it posted on here before!

No mountains were harmed in the consumption of this champagne. Tanned straight from the bottle!

Saw something called Bonecrusher Zinfandel in T5 GF. Really? This is a first class wine?

Fortunately there was a lovely 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet. ^

Thanks for posting this.

He's obviously been with BA for quite some time. It is passionate wine folk like him who will be constantly pushing BA to improve (or at least maintain) their wine offerings.

I think I had the same, and a decent Chablis PC and Albarinio too - and for once this was at a decent hour and not 6am.
