I've just flown LHR - AUS in first and the wine list was
Champagnes
Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle.
Duval-Leroy Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2006.
Jacquart Rosé Mosaïque NV.
I had the LPGS pre departure, as good as always and then the Jacquart as an apèritif. It was very refereshing and had an extraordinary colour, seemed to glow in the glass.
Whites
Beaune du Château Premier Cru Blanc 2012, Bouchard Père et Fils, Burgundy.
Pouilly-Fumé les Chailloux Silex 2013, Domain Chatelain, Loire.
Thomas George Estates Catie's Corner Vineyard Viognier 2012, Russian River Valley, California.
I had the Burgundy, which was very good, classic white Burgundy.
Reds
Château Cantermerle 2008, 5ème Grand Cru Classé Haut-Mèdoc, Bordeaux.
Saintsbury Brown Ranch Pinot Noir 2012, Carneros, California.
Onamástica Rioja Reserva 2007, Bodegas Carlos Serres.
I had the Pinot Noir, which I must say was one of the best New World Pinots I've tasted for a while, not overly jammy but still full of fruit. I'm hoping it will be on the return flight.
Happy tasting !

I see that the Domaine D'Ardhuy Corton Charlemagne 2009 won a Gold Medal in the Best First Class wine (not champagne ) category in the Business Traveller's Cellar in the Sky awards.

Grabbed one of the attendants whom I know well, and asked if he might be able to find another one of these bottles. Returned after around 5 minutes and left it by my seat ^ I wasn't complaining.
Perhaps not 100% sober when boarding, quite happy though.

On Tuesday in GF there were plenty of bottles of the Pierre André Corton Charlemagne. Also an interesting old world Red which I don't think I've seen mentioned here: Clos des Jacobins St Emilion Grand Cru 2006.

To/from JNB over the last week, CW had The Bernard Series Viognier which was really rather nice.
The menu and wine list we got on JNB-LHR is actually dated April 2016. The notable change on the wine list was that the long-running Taittinger NV has been replaced by "Champagne Henriot Brut Souverain NV". But I don't know whether that was what was actually loaded.

I was alerted to the presence of this video, a piece with Andy Sparrow, BA's F wine man. If you have time to watch there is some interesting info about how their supply systems work and why/when wines appear in the lounges.

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but BA now serve Vintage 2007 Castelnau in CW. In the menu it says that this has been served in the First class lounges, but is now available in Club World on certain flights. Seen on IAD-LHR.
