For sure go up to the summit at Haleakala, the views are awesome (in the original sense of the word) on a clear day

Might distract you from for a little while

This is just bragging!! The first six months of 2014, which is pretty representative of the last 40 years is shown below. This year, in my first year of semi-retirement, I'm down to 107 flights for the whole year.

Yes, I'm quite impressed by this (though Lalibela airport is actually LLI, LAL is Lakeland in Florida). February was quite quiet though! Greetings morges1, I'm off to GVA today if you are about?

[For the benefit of anyone else, we haven't ever been able to meet in CCR, much to the amusement of the CCR management].

Felt like this thread needed a bit of a resurrection: arrived at the B gates on a 747 in 1A, CW held back so F were first off, went down to the transit to find no-one there but a BA lady and a train- now I know how this ends up: first on the transit, held on the platform whilst the entire plane gets on and then last off at the end. So I carry on down to the arrivals walkway, quick hop along the corridor and arrive at a completely empty immigration hall!

I've done a few crazy trips for my previous employer (mix of F/C/Y):

Over 4 days: LHR-DOH-BKK-DOH-ARN-DOH-LHR
Over 5 days: LGW-FRA-SGN-HKG-SGN-SYD-SGN-SIN-HAN-FRA-LGW
Over 5 days: LHR-DOH-DXB-DOH-HBE-DOH-SIN-DOH-LHR
Over 8 days: LHR-CAN-MEL-CAN-SIN-CAN-LAX-CAN-LHR

I've also done a one night trip to AKL, and been in Australia twice in the same week (having gone back to London in between).

And the most ridiculous trip on my own time, was when I spent 4 nights on BA Y in a row: ORY-LHR-SIN-SYD (day stop) SYD-SIN-LHR-MAD-LHR-JNB (day stop) JNB-LHR

Lucky I like flying! (and thank goodness for airport lounge showers!)

I had a bit of a hectic flying schedule on my month's holiday in March. Reminded me so much of my previous employment. At the end of the month off I was looking forward to getting back to work for a break .

I don't know if this counts:

I was op up'd at boarding on my positioning flight LCY-DUB last month. I was the only person in the 12 seat CE cabin. ET was not full, at all. I moved myself up at doors closing from 3D to 1C just because it felt so weird being "way back" from the Purser who would then be bringing her sole charge [before helping out ET crew] his nuts and bloody mary[s].

I felt, for a moment, I was her special pet. Is that CWS worthy?

I may have posted this before but many years ago on returning from a c-w-s type trip, I took my wife to the cinema. When the film started I searched fruitlessly for my seat belt!
