... spread out a few more days; once did BHX-AMS-KIX-AMS-BHX LHR-YUL-LHR BHX-DBX-DEL-DBX-BHX which is 28,188 miles in 20 days, all in Y (ouch) for work (admittedly only the LHR-YUL-LHR was BA).

(BA-wise, 15,669 miles in 42 hours (LT) - in Y...).

I never have any opportunities to travel for work so have to cram my flying in to short periods of leave. My most intense have been:
  • LCY-ORY-LHR-JNB-LHR-MAD-LHR in 48 hours (to/from JNB being back to back overnights), all in Y. Then did the reverse 2 weeks later.
  • round the world in 9 days: LGW-JER-LGW,LHR-JFK - 36hrs stop - JFK-HKG - 24hrs stop - HKG-BKK-CMB - 3 days - CMB-SIN-LHR. Thankfully all in J and F.

I have had a few crazy ones in the last month or so. Including ARN-FRA-IAD-DFW-GRU-MIA-DFW-HKG-DFW-GRU-JFK-CLT-IAD-CPH-ARN with 1 hotel night (i.e. 6 days away with one hotel night and 8 intercontinental flights. I did also have two client meetings during the trip, although it may have been flying influenced in booking!

I left home this morning for:

LHR-CDG-DOH-BKK-KUL-BKK-DOH-CDG-LHR followed 48 hours later by LHR-OSL-DOH-HKG-SIN-HKG-DOH-OSL-LHR all for work.

Four clients in four Asian destinations - yet I couldn't find a week that all 4 were available! Fortunately, my other half is planning an airline pyjama party!

If you could forward all tips to me for my trip with him in May it would be much appreciated!

On Topic, relatively quiet flying time for me aside from the work weekly domestic return! Cologne in 2 weeks for the Christmas Markets then Malta in January with another of our Aberdeenshire based FTers.

As a father of three children, I try to cluster my work trips rather than always being on the road, so I get that c-w-s moment a few times per year.

Over the past two months or so, I had the following 23 flights:

PHX-ORD-YOW(UA)//YOW-ORD-PHX(UA)(IRROPS, it replaced YOW-PHL-PHX on AA)//PHX-JFK//LGA-ATL//ATL-BWI(DL)//BWI-PHL-PHX//PHX-PHL-BWI//BWI-PHL-PHX//PHX-LHR-DUB//DUB-LCY//LHR-BGO//BGO-LHR//LHR-STR//MUC-LHR-DUB//DUB-LHR-PHX

It was a good variety of experiences and I may get around to writing a trip report about some or all of it. But I definitely had some moments of feeling like C-W-S, such as being remembered by the flight crew, or having CE to myself, or having 4 straight flights of no one else in row 1 on CE, etc. That said, I'm glad to not have any more flights booked until January!

My children worked on someone's campaign. Once they were elected we were invited to the inauguration, the parade then the ball that night.

I wasn't sure if we could make it, my daughter was taking some important exam. I asked her to pack a bag and her evening dress and told her that I would decide that morning. She went to school, I decided that it was a historic event, so, I confirmed the tickets, picked her up flew CDG-LHR-IAD. Arrived right on time, changed clothes went to the inauguration/ lunch then parade. Changed went to the ball. Then in our evening clothed took the flight back. We had the same crew. The lady at the check in counter had special stamps made for the event and we gave the crew special gifts that were handed out to commemorate the event.

Currently on an Asia-Africa-Asia trip. Started out with 12 flights booked, a week in I've managed to cancel 4 of the original 12, add 9, then cancel 2 of the nine and add 3 more. Filled up one passport completely now, fortunately have a second tuck down my ants for the next lot of countries to go to.
As a CWS bonus with some interesting reroutings I have now requalified for CCR for yet another year. Still not qualified to touch the mug though.
