Tesco and Avios
Tesco, the major UK supermarket chain, allows you to convert Tesco Clubcard (CC) points to Avios. The standard earning rate is 1 CC point per £1 spent in store. They convert to Avios in the ratio of 1 CC point to 2.4 Avios or 2.5 Virgin miles. Every quarter, your points are converted to coupons and mailed to you - they can then be converted via the CC website to Avios or Virgin miles. Typically, it takes 1-2 working days for a conversion to BA Avios to complete.
The key to rapidly earning large amounts of Avios is the regular bonus point offers where large amounts of points can be earned. The latest are listed below and discussed within this thread.
The last period for collecting Clubcard points finished on 16 October 2014.
The last day for collecting points in the current quarter is 21 January 2015.

Dont' tell Tesco... but
I had a somewhat fruitful shop for pre-ordered games.
I visited my local Extra, chose 4 different games for 2 machines and proceeded to the self service checkout. Rang them through, the helper verified my age (sadly without having to ask for proof) and I paid. My receipt was printed, but no £5 pre-paid vouchers appeared.
The helper sent me to customer services who were unable to reprint the £5 vouchers and agreed (after some deliberation) that I was not attempting to obtain multiple £5 vouchers.
The only option they could offer was a £20 gift card for the £20 paid. After 15 minutes, I was 2020 cc points richer for a spend of £0. Result.

Going to CS would be scary for me as I don't want them seeing my points balance! Maybe I'm a wimp but I want to stay under the radar.

Anyone got the two remaining barcodes for Infinity? Xbox 360 and PS3, assuming it actually exists in those formats.
Thanks

Think tesco are on to us. I went in tonight to tesco St Enoch metro (Glasgow) and they wouldn't let me order ANYTHING if I was using my clubcard. They said it was a scam.

Oh well. Just went to tesco extra on argyle st and manually entered 4 of the battlefields and all went through fine.
I'll go get the rest done at a larger store tomorrow.

Best to man up and admit to it, than try and pretend it's normal shopping behaviour.

For a lot of people, this is normal shopping behaviour

Lol because it is a scam the key word is pre-order we are pre-ordering 100's of games that we have no intention of collecting just for the AVIOS, breaching their bulk buying policy and breaching the clubcard terms and conditions that state one must operate as a normal consumer. They are right.
Best to man up and admit to it, than try and pretend it's normal shopping behaviour.
Best to man up and admit to it, than try and pretend it's normal shopping behaviour.
It would be a scam if we did 100's per person. 1 game per person per category can be classified as normal behavior.
Effectively we are paying a fiver for the cc points....our choice for their offer. It's not that they haven't made an assessment on the offer as it's not the first time they've offered this type of offer.
